I am writing in prospect of consideration for an exciting and challenging opportunity in the
geosciences. I am an extremely detail-oriented, problem-solver with an in-depth and broad
knowledge base, looking for an entry-level position in the physical science industry.
I am a well-rounded candidate, having a Bachelor of Science in Geology with professional
and internship experience. I have mid-level experience using ESRI’s ArcGIS, and have
utilized my experience with this software throughout much of my student and post-graduate
career. I have gained valuable expertise in spatial and 3D analysis, working with many
different modes of data, including LiDAR, point-cloud data. Currently, I am pursuing an
ESRI Associate User certification.
Environmental research is the building block of my skillset. I have considerable experience
collecting and analyzing: water, sediment, soil and rock samples; hydrologic measurements;
and survey and GPS data. Additionally, I am well familiarized with industry standard, field
hydrology techniques and practices.
I have excellent oral and written communication skills as well. My undergraduate thesis and
independent undergraduate research proposal are excellent examples of my technical writing
skill, which are available to you at your request.
I work well in team environments and manage my time efficiently. I am willing to relocate,
travel and obtain any licenses or certificates as needed. Currently, I am pursing an OSHA 40
hour HAZWOPER certification and am interested in pursuing a Professional Geologist
License.
