While researching possible careers, I found your career listing on Higheredjobs.com. After the successful completion of college, it will be refreshing to work for a company that values a coherent connection with its customers, focusing on mutual loyalty and trust.
I believe my background in creative writing will help me appreciate the narratives of the non-for profit clients Richard Harrison Bailey/The Agency serves (RHB). While working with the Writing Center I was able make personable presentations about what the Writing Center is and how to use it. In these presentations, we lacked the circles of influence RHB established to listen to, and understand clients. My retail and customer service experience have taught me to work with various backgrounds and I am certain that I will be able to help RHB succeed in great causes, as they have been doing since 1991.
When I was president of Ball State University’s Poetic Summit, we focused on making our meetings more like a gathering where people would feel relaxed, valued, and free to express his or herself. These goals will also be helpful in my opportunity to conduct focus groups and personable interviews. When coming together with clients I will first make sure they feel welcome and comfortable so that our meeting will have a friendly aura. I will actively collaborate with co-workers on projects because I respect that my greatest resource will be sitting in the office next to me. When hired, I will make use of the reading list supplied so that I can mix creativity with strategic thinking.
I admire RHB’s humble beginnings of dinning room and living room meetings, and I hope to be a member of the team and share in this rich history. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at the above telephone number or email address. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ebony Hunter
Ebony Nicole Hunter
