This document provides information about course shells available for PNC faculty on the Learn platform. It describes the basic, hybrid 1, hybrid 2, and fully online shells and how they are preconfigured. It explains that the shells were created to promote a smoother transition to Learn and campus-wide consistency. It outlines how to request a shell through the eHelpdesk system by specifying the course, semester, and desired shell. It also provides information on customizing banners and the course look and feel.

10. How do you request a shell?
 Enter MY PNC Portal, select eHelpdesk
 Submit a help ticket
 Specify the shell(s) that you want and the
course(s) that you want it applied to
within the text entry box

14. Download banners from S: drive
 Click on ‘Learning & Technology’
 ‘BB Learn Banners’
 Save to your computer and then follow p.7
in “Getting Started” (green) packet to
upload to a Learn course.

15. Customization
 You can always customize your
look and feel
○ Menu
○ Color/style ‘themes’
 Simply click on ‘Customization’,
then ‘Teaching Style’ within Learn

16. Please allow 2-3
working days for
shells to be applied to
your spring courses.
