The document describes the clothing choices for characters portrayed as bullies and their victim in order to convey certain meanings and stereotypes. The bullies are dressed in sportswear like blue tops and shorts or a black Nike outfit to suggest strength, power and status. Their victim Amy Dunn is dressed more formally in a black school blazer, white shirt, glasses and stickers to portray her as a smart but unconventional outcast.
2. As you can see we have chosen to have our bullies dresses in
sports gear, with a blue top and blue shorts this is because sports
wear portrays a sense of strength and power, Athletes are
portrayed as strong and being inferior to non athletes. Non
athletes are categorised as weak and vulnerable.
