 Support the Backs  Run the ball to score
1 – Loose Head Prop 9 – Scrumhalf
2 – Hooker 10 – Fly half
3 – Tight Head Prop 11 – Left Wing
4 – Second Row 12 – Inside Center
5 – Second Row 13 – Outside Center
6 – Blind – Side Flanker 14 – Right Wing
7 – Open – Side Flanker 15 – Fullback
8 – Eight Man

4. Why’d the whistle blow?
Knock-on Offside
• Happens when ball goes • When you are in front of
forward the ball, and make a play
• Throwing, or hitting it • Get back to your side of ball
forward = knock-on • Put hands in the air,
• Okay to kick it forward signaling your awareness of
offside

5. The Tackle
• Get as low as you
can
• Wrap your arms
around the player
• Pull opponent to
ground

• Object: win the ball
• Rake back with foot
• Bind on with
teammate, push
against other team

Line Outs!
When the ball goes out of bounds, it is thrown in from the sideline. A
player from each team is lifted, fighting for the ball.
