1 Track Records
CoRE has a tremendous number of man-years in terms of development experience in computing in
general and Simulations and Virtual Reality in particular. Amongst them are :-
1.1 Automobile Simulator
In this project we came up with an actual driving simulator
as shown, using totally localized hardware and locally-
written software. Our clients include the Faculty of Health
Sciences, UPM and the Faculty of Computer Science, UTM.
1.2 Bakun Dam Impoundment Simulations
When the multi-billion ringgit Bakun Dam begins to
operate end of 2010, the dam gates will be shut closed,
causing a total area bigger in size than Singapore to be
immersed in water. We were Commissioned by Sarawak
Hydro Sdn Bhd, the managing developer for Bakun dam to do
a realtime simulation of the event.
1.3 Karachi Elevated Highway
Our client was bidding for the construction of the 27km
elevated highway for the Karachi Municipal. The architec-
tural and engineering drawings were transformed into 3D
flythrough in real time to visualize what the highway
would look like when completed. Our final product was
viewed by President General Pervez Musharraf.
1.4 Lahore Golf Course
Our client (BDRB Berhad) was tasked to turn a 5km x 5km
square of vast desert expanse in Lahore into a thriving
and bubbling cityscape which included a golf course,
condominiums, hotels, residence bungalows, shoplots
and a clubhouse. We did the 3D visualization in about 2
months.
1.5 Water Vortex Simulations
Jabatan Perparitan dan Saliran Malaysia commissioned a
simulation of water vortices in impeller pumps that are in
operation all over the northern states especially in areas of
padi farms. The simulations was important for the study of air-
water vortices formed that would eventually destroy these
pumps, and hope to design better pumps for this purpose.
1.6 Project Progress Management System
In this project our client was commissioned by the Prime Minister's
Department, Putrajaya, to undertake the monitoring of project
progress by developers to ascertain critical factors during
development. In particular we concentrated on the Sungai Como
Agricultural progress.

1.7 3D Surveillance System
We developed and installed this system at the Air Itam dam for Perbadanan Air Pulau Pinang, to
monitor activities surrounding the water catchment area for safety. The system only uses camera
monitoring using internet protocol.
1.8 Kuala Lumpur Cityscape Visualization in 3D
Using Satellite data together with modeling works of 30 of the
most important buildings in Kuala Lumpur, we managed to do
a 3D visualization flythrough of the entire Kuala Lumpur
cityscape in real time. This application of ours was installed in
MDEC Corporation’s Virtual Reality center in Cyberjaya.
1.9 Eagle 150-B Flight Simulator
We constructed a flight simulator based on the Eagle 150-B
aircraft, commissioned by our client and shown in the 2007
Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace shows. It uses a
real Eagle Cockpit but everything else is computer-simulated.
1.10 Monitoring and Detection System
We deviced a system using locally-produced RFID tags and readers
that enables the tracking and tagging of sensitive items. Our
customer, Kolej Ugama Islam Selangor, uses our system to prevent
thefts of hardware peripherals in their computer labs. It can also be
used to track and manage sensitive items like guns, ammunitions and
other small arms so that any movement of said items from their
depot or warehouses can be detected and monitored.
1.11 RPG-7 Anti tank Simulator
We developed an RPG-7 shoulder mounted anti-tank simulator with
bullet tracking done via an infra-red laser and electronics gyroscope
and the projectile motion calculated and simulated on screen. Our
system is used by Tentera Darat Malaysia.
1.12 ACID
ACID stands for AirCraft Identifier Demonstrator, and aircraft
recognition system which trains the user to instantly recognize
aircrafts from a distance via its shape, silhouette, colour, sound,
insignia and general characteristics. We installed the system for the
training of cadets in the Myanmar Armed Forces.

I is a super surveillance system that stands for Command,
Control, Communications, Computerization and Crisis Information
System. This system is derived from CoRE's CORE Engine
(Configurable Orthographic Realtime Engine), a set of algorithms
tasked to do realtime crisis management.
2.2 VirtuosoTM
Underlying the CoRE engine is our very own Virtual Reality World
Manipulator called Virtuoso, a set of routines that creates realistic
sceneries from 3D vertices with texturing, so that the possibilities
are limitless: Buildings, landscapes, real cities townships. The
Barok Mosque, Pahang BioScience Center, MRT extensions are
amongst the applications based upon this engine.
3 Previous Projects
3.1 Scorpion Tank Simulator (SSI, Dr Azlan)
Tasked by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces to come up with a Target
Gunnery Trainer for their Scorpion tank, this project marked the first time
a simulator produced in Malaysia is exported overseas.
3.2 Virtual GIS Software for MACRES
In this project we were commissioned by the Malaysian Center for
Remote Sensing to develop a GIS-based Virtual Reality Software for use to
visualize their satellite data in real-time.
3.3 Tactical Weapons Data Encryptor (TWDE)
Dr Azlan also developed a specialized software to encrypt sensitive missile data for the RMAF to be
used in fighter aircrafts.
3.4 Project Leader, MiG-29 Flight Simulator
Led a team of 7 scientists and engineers to co-develop the MiG-29 Flight
Simulator for the RMAF in Montreal, Canada for 3 years. Out of this 3-year
training, we amassed a huge amount of knowledge to be able to construct
our own simulators.
3.5 C-90 Anti tank Simulator
We constructed a C-90 shoulder mounted anti-tank simulator with bullet
tracking done via an electronics gyroscope and the projectile motion
calculated and simulated on screen.
3.6 Hillview Landslide Simulation
This project utilized satellite data over a period of 20 years coupled with 3D technology to come
up with a theory of why the Hillview disaster. Our client later presented this simulation to the
cabinet.

4 The CoRE Principle
4.1 The CORE Engine.
Almost all of CoRE’s products have an underlying commonality: they use a set of algorithms and
instructions developed by CoRE’s engineers that we call, ironically, also CORE. This stands for
“Configurable Orthographic Realtime Engine” and is responsible for the interactive way with which
different technologies (OpenGL, Sockets, Video Streams, GIS, Protocol handlings) work together in
a seamless manner.
There are five major components of the C.O.R.E.
TM
subsystems: The Rendering Processor, the GIS
Processor, the AV Processor, the Sensor processor and the Threshold Processor, each handling
different tasks. All of these processors are then passed over and handled by the engine’s Logic
Management Processor. C.O.R.E.
TM
is 100% done locally.
4.2 CoRE’s Marketing Strategy (or absence of)
CoRE will work in partnerships, both local and international, keeping abreast of the technological
advances in technology. As such the CoRE strategy to market its products are to:
 Develop its product to world-class quality
 Establish smart partnerships and rapport with Research Institutions.
 Develop a network of international research and technology-involved experts and
establish a free flow of ideas and research capabilities.
 Keep users of the developed products informed of breakthroughs, problems and
successes; thereby forming personal bonds and relationships engendering support, trust
and encouragement.
 Invite commercial users of the products to demonstrations of Simulations and introduce
them to the possibilities and potentials for their businesses.
 Encourage smart partnerships for new projects with the potential clients, competitors
and international suppliers of components.
