5. W hat is Cor elDRAW?
CorelDRAW is a comprehensive vector-based drawing
program that makes it easy to create professional artwork from simple
logos to technical illustrations.
CorelDRAW's tools are designed to meet the demands of the
graphic arts professional.
6. How Does vectorbased dr awing wor ks?
Circle is mathematically expressed with
equation:
x2 + y2 = r2
Line is mathematically expressed with
equation:
( y0 – y1 ) = m ( x0 – x1 )
8. Cor elDRAW vs.
Photoshop
CorelDRAW is a vector-based drawing program which is mostly
used for creating new designs or combining new designs with existing
bitmap pictures.
Adobe Photoshop works only with bitmap pictures and it’s used
for retouching and composing images.

Select the line with Pick Tool.
Change tool – take Shape Tool <F10>.
Select the node where object have to be broken or doubleclick on line to add new node.
Right click on selected node to open menu and then click on
Break Apart.
Line is broken now; nods can be moved independently, but
both lines are still one object.
To break lines into two objects take Pick Tool. New bar
appear above the menus. Click on Break Apart <ctrl-k>.
Object are apart.
Note:
Be careful that line is always selected during the whole
procedure!!!
17. Connect two objects

Select the line with Pick Tool.
Select both lines that have to be connected (use shift if that
helps).
Right click on line to open menu and click on Combine
<ctrl-l>.
Take Shape Tool <F10> and move node that have to be
connected close to each other.
Select both nodes.
Right click on one of the nods to open menu and click on
Join.
Nodes are connected and both lines are one object now.
Note:
Be careful that lines are always selected during the whole
procedure!!!
