This document provides an overview of the CORE (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation) system over the past decade. CORE is an outcome measurement system used in psychological therapy services. It consists of the CORE Outcome Measure questionnaire completed by clients before and after therapy, as well as forms completed by practitioners. The CORE system has expanded to include shorter versions of the questionnaire, software programs to analyze and report on CORE data, training and support services. Over the past decade, hundreds of services across the UK have adopted CORE to routinely measure outcomes and improve clinical practice.
