This document presents the development and validation of the Child Outcome Rating Scale (CORS) for children aged 6-12, alongside the Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) for youth aged 13 and above, aimed at enhancing the measurement of mental health treatment outcomes from the client's perspective. It addresses the lack of reliable self-report measures for children under 13 and emphasizes the importance of involving youth in the therapeutic process to improve treatment effectiveness. The authors argue that incorporating client feedback into therapy is crucial for consumer-driven services and overall clinical success.
