4. Unconventional Openings
• In some films the use of a conventional
opening may not be used as it doesn’t have to
follow a certain pattern all the time. They may
use this to give the audience a sense of
mystery or to set off the film in a certain
manner.

• Unimportant characters may be introduced
• No credits
• No establishing shot (opening shot to a scene)
