Constellations have been part of Mesopotamian culture since 4000 BC. Homer referenced several constellations in his epic poem The Odyssey in the 8th century BC, including 43 that are still recognized today. The document then describes an imaginary constellation called "Bread Man" about a character named Fred who helped end a war between giants and trolls by developing bread as the best armor material. After Fred's contribution, King Timmy honored him by placing his image in the stars.
