Current Event 1 Started in 2007, a money bomb is a internet fueled one-day fundraising blitz. It relies on “small donors” to generate “big dollars.” It is to a traditional fundraiser what a home-run derby is to a baseball game Money Bomb
Current Event 2 The healthcare reform has been one of the biggest issues facing our nation since President Obama came into office. It finally got voted in and that caused anger and happiness in American homes and minds. The healthcare bill states that every American gets healthcare even if they can’t pay for it. Some people think that this would make taxes go up and others think that their money will ‘disappear’ quicker because they think that the government will take money out of their own accounts. However those Americans who like the idea of healthcare believe that it will benefit our nation and the American people. Healthcare
