Sarah Richards, the Content Design Lead at the UK Government Digital Service (GDS), gave a presentation on March 27th. The presentation covered GDS's goals of creating GDS, fixing publishing and transactions on government sites, and going "wholesale" by working across government. Richards discussed GDS principles like making things simple, clear, and fast. She also covered content culling efforts and how it led to fewer but more engaging pages for users. The talk addressed how to improve users' understanding of government policies and provided links to additional GDS resources.
