Abstract This module is use as educational material that help and let you to learn in your own rhythm and work individually from the beginning. This way you can perceive and know the content working with out any intervention. This module is design for student from 2-4 grade level.
Introduction This instructional module covers enough information to prepare the  student in skills. Promote the four skills of reading,   writing, listening, and speaking. Includes a formal grammatical  studies to enrich in vocabulary.
Objective At the end of the module, the student will demonstrate that can recognize compound words with a minimum of 70% accuracy.
What is a compound word ? A  compound word  is made when two  words  are joined to form a new  word.   light + house =  lighthouse Examples base + ball  =  baseball
Instructions You will read a short story and will find some compound words.  Recognize the words from the story.
Pre- test read the following story Sara is walking in her sidewalk her best friend invites her to buy a strawberry ice cream. After that they went to play with a sandbox in Sara’s playground. Which are compound words?
I. Select the word 1. Which is a compound word? a. walk  b. sidewalk c. Walking
The correct answer is letter: b. Sidewalk
2. Which of this words is a compound word? a. Straw b. Strong c. Strawberry
The correct answer is letter: c. Strawberry
