1. Compare & Contrast

Ali Baba and Aladdin have many similarities and
differences. Obviously they have a lot of differences but I think
it's cool that they have a lot of similarities. I think it's cool that
they have a lot of similarities because they are two entirely
different stories. I think it's like making a story out of another
and changing it around a bit. That is why I like how they have
similarities.
As I was saying, Ali Baba and Aladdin have many
similarities. One similarity is that they are both Arabian
Folktales. I think this is why there are quite a few similarities
between the two stories. I think Arabian tales would have a lot
in common because they would have stuff like the same
settings and the same kind of problem and the same kind of
solution. This is just one of the similarities.
Another similarity is that there are caves of treasure in each
story. I think that's cool because they're entirely different but
they are still caves of treasure. In Ali Baba, the cave of
treasure is basically a big rock and in Aladdin, the cave of
treasure is a tiger's head that can talk. There are more
differences too. The cave in Ali Baba is guarded by forty
thieves and the cave in Aladdin is guarded by the tiger's head.
That is why I think that is a cool similarity.
The third similarity is that there are villains. The reason I
put this is because I think a lot of stories would still be good
without villains. That is basically the only reason I put that.
The last similarity I put was that two people get married in
the end. I think it's weird because in Aladdin, the main
character gets married but in Ali Baba, the main character is
already married but his daughter gets married. That's why I
think that is the most interesting similarity.

2. There are lots of differences between Ali Baba and Aladdin
too. One of the differences is that there are a different amount
of villains in each story. In Ali Baba, there are forty villains and
in Aladdin, there is only one villain. I think it's weird how there
are forty villains in Ali Baba because there is usually one villain
in stories.
Another difference is that there's a magic carpet in Aladdin
and there isn't one in Ali Baba. I think it's weird how they have
a magic carpet in Aladdin because it has nothing to do with an
Arabian Folktale. I think it would make it an Arabian Fantasy.
The third difference is that there's a magic lamp in Aladdin
and there isn't one in Ali Baba. Like I was saying it would
make Aladdin more of an Arabian Fantasy. I really don't get it.
The last difference between Ali Baba and Aladdin is that
there is a genie in Aladdin and there isn't one in Ali Baba.
Again, I think that all of that stuff makes Aladdin more of an
Arabian Fantasy. Ali Baba is more of an Arabian Folktale than
Aladdin.
In conclusion, there are a lot of similarities and differences
between the two stories. I think there are more differences
than similarities because I think Aladdin is more of an Arabian
Fantasy than Folktale like Ali Baba.
