This document discusses comparatives and superlatives in English. Comparatives are used to compare two things or people, and use suffixes like -er or more to modify adjectives. Superlatives describe the extreme or highest quality within a group, and use the suffixes -est or most. Examples are provided for forming comparatives and superlatives of one-syllable, two-syllable, irregular adjectives. Practice sentences are included for the reader to fill in with comparative or superlative adjectives.

We use than when we want to compare one
thing with another.

11. SUPERLATIVES
To describe one thing in a group of three or more things.
We also usually add 'the' at the beginning.
There are two ways to form a superlative adjective:
short adjectives: add "-est"
long adjectives: use "most"
