1. What do you understand about Comparative Education?
For me, comparative education provides a foundation for enhancing our
classroom procedures and educational systems. I think this course can assist
and help both students and teachers in gathering reliable information
concerning the education system.
2. Why do we need Comparative Education in our educational policy and practice?
I think we need Comparative Education in our educational policy and practice
because it can help teachers reflect on issues of concern in their own
classrooms, such as diversity, conflict/peace, teaching approaches, curriculum,
and classroom organization, by having a thorough understanding of the
comparative education literature. We can also learn from the innovations,
experiences, and practices of other teachers, schools, countries, and regions.
3. From your philosophical point of view highlight one focus problem facing the
educational system in the Philippines.
From my philosophical point of view, I think one of the focus problem facing the
educational system in the Philippines is the lack of resources and facilities.
Learners learning quality is impacted by inadequate facilities and resources in
schools. Learners also may find it difficult to focus on their studies if there are

2. inadequate facilities, or they may be unable to attend lessons on a regular basis
or become distracted by outside events.
4. Mention and discuss 2 challenges on Education.
There are so many challenges on education that everyone is facing nowadays.
One challenge of Education is the technological changes. Technology is evolving
quickly and is starting to play a crucial role in education. In order to ensure
that children are ready for a future in which technology plays a significant role
in everyday life, schools will need to be up to date on new technological
advancements.
Second challenge is teacher shortage. Retention of quality teachers is a major
concern in education system today as most leave because of low income or job
burnout. There is a shortage of qualified and experienced teachers and I think
this can lead to overcrowded classrooms and compromised education.
