AKHSA is an Indonesian lifestyle brand founded in 2014 that works with local artisans in Bali. They are inspired by traditional Balinese carving techniques and aim to bring these crafts to modern products like jewelry. The company collaborates directly with carvers to both educate the artisans about global markets and help international audiences appreciate their skills. They strive to sustain local artisanal communities while producing high-quality, handcrafted goods.

AKHSA is a lifestyle product line based
on craft and traditional artistry, founded
in early 2014. When staying in Bali, we
are mesmerized by the richness of Bali’s
culture and craftmanship, especially carving
technique and traditional artistry. Carvers in
Bali had been carving sculptures from many
materials. Nowadays, due to their lack of
access to the information and market; their
work are not very well apreciated by the
people. We are inspired by their incredible
potencials and try to gather a group of
artisans to work together with us to bring the
tradition of carving into modern living goods.
Balinese craftmanship is an example of
many other similar issues in Indonesia’s
craft and traditional artistry. The world just
didn’t see clearly what they are doing: the
skill they have, the hard work they’ve done,
and the time they’ve spent to make things.
We believe one of appreciation they worth
to receive is by knowing their products are
worn by people around the world.
AKHSA, values the tradition as a tool
to answer the needs of urban lifestyle
especially wearable goods. We are adapting
the artistry of Indonesian craftsmen into the
latest trend, based on our design and market
research. The artisans may possibly learn
to know the market and adapting them into
their work; while the market itself will be able
to appreciate the works of each craftsmen
more by wearing their works. We want to
create a sustainable market cycle which
educates both producer and user about the
extraordinary Indonesian craftsmen and
artistry.
3. v
Vision
Our vision is to bring back the long-
lost pride of our traditional artistry.
We valued the core of the traditional
artistry into the modern wearable
things (jewellery, eyewear, etc.)
adapting the latest trend and market
demand.
AKHSA strive to restore the pride
of local craftsmen, bringing their
magnificent works to the wider
audience.
Mission
Our intention is to make sure every
aspect of AKHSA jewelry is well
designed and well executed. Each
work of the designer and artisan
should be higly appreciated by the
right audience.The process is done
by adopting tradition aspect in form
of traditional carving technique.
We add the artisan signature in
each of our product as a credit of
their craftsmanship and dedication.

5. Product Exellence
AKHSA speciality starts from it’s very own material, which
considered new in the modern living, but have been
generally used from our ancestor as their primary tools.
The incredible skill of Balinese carver were shown through
AKHSA collection. The detail from our artisan’s work
define the uniqueness of our collection which cannot be
compared by any machinery works. Each piece from our
collection carved from selected cattle bone which crafted
by highly skilled artisans. Over a period of time, bone
absorbs oils from your skin and turn into a very light honey
gold in color. Our ancestors believe this symbolyze the
combination of wearer’s spirituality with the artifact and
thus truly fitted-making connection between the wearer
and the jewelry.
