Painting, Dates and SciencPainting, Dates and Science
Hello everyone and welcome to...wait a minute..Emma, what's wrong with your arms?
Emma: “Take me to the hospital.”
Alright, but let me introduce you first! Emma Redds is a Knowledge Sim, a Gemini and her
stats are 4/7/3/3.
Emma: “I'm not kidding, I think I need surgery.”
Luckily Belladonna Cove General Hospital managed to work magic and Emma's poor arms
were healed! She decided after that to give skipping a miss.
And a good thing too, as one of Emma's favourite hobbies is painting and she would be
devastated if she were to never be able to do it again.
She may not be the next Bob Ross, but her paintings are...unique. Yeah, unique. We'll go with
that.
Oh and by the way, this is one side of her humble home. Very humble home.
And this guy may be no art critic, but he does come bearing expensive computer! I won't sell it,
but it'll sit nicely in Emma's inventory for now until needed. Or maybe I'll nick it, this computer
I'm typing this from is 4 years old and getting a bit slow.
Emma: “You do that and I'll break YOUR arms!”
Sorry Emma.
So, the legacy gets cracking, and I manage to persuade Emma to take a job in the Science
career by trying to convince her it'll be just like the game Portal.
Being a Sim, she doesn't know what I'm referring to, but it pays well so she accepts it anyway. I
wish it was this easy to get a job!!
(And here you see the other side of her house. Inside is a loo and shower. Why is this on a
smaller lot? Well, property prices are more expensive in Belladonna Cove you see. You want to
live here, you choose a smaller lot. Hence the legacy's name!)
And quite soon, Emma gets to meet some of the locals. Unfortunately, she also soon learns that
some of the locals are a bit unconventional...
Much like this total invasion of Emma's personal space. Emma has a thing for her personal
space.
Luckily the other Sim was soon shooed off and Emma could recover.
Luckily for Emma, there's one very good way of getting rid of unwanted townies- erect a fence
around your property. Now she can paint in peace!
However, on this occasion the call of hacky-sack was just too strong, and Emma was tempted
into a game with the visiting welcome wagon.
No, she isn't bored. She just has resting unamused face.
Unfortunately, having fence defences only work when they're actually present, as Emma found
as her lot kept attracting townies trying to use her loo for a public toilet!
(Or maybe it's the fact that I misplaced her chair when all she wants is to sit down for a snack
that she's complaining about here)
Painting in your pjs...is there really a better past time? Although Emma, you'll damage your
eyes doing that. Want me to give you a light?
Emma: “Please.”
And one of the things that delights me about Emma is that although she's a fairly serious Sim,
every time it rains she's out there splashing in the puddles! She only just woke up and she's
already at it.
Although as she doesn't have a roof, I suppose being soaking wet doesn't really bother her at
this point...
Some Sims are worth melting...I mean waiting for, and Jason here is one of them. Emma got on
well immediately with him. Hmm……
Not sure about the gloves though.
Emma: “Hold on a second..I was facing the other way a moment ago. I have been rotated. How
on earth...”
Beats me, but I cracked up at the fact that with move_objects on you can rotate a poor Sim
sitting on the loo. Anyway, it's not all bad, you now have your own little house!
Emma: “Fine, but close that door!”
Another Sims oddity..I let Emma bring a colleague home from work, and what should I see
immediately afterwards, a skunk instead of a Sim.
Emma, when I said you could bring somebody home, I didn't mean the test subjects!!
Thank you so much, but….my Sim's name is not Christa!?
She just can't deal with these hobby Sims invading her house. Either that or it's like here
and about 30 degrees outside.
Emma: “The first one. Definitely the first one.”
One Sunday afternoon Emma decided to invite Jason round for a date. They had got to know
each other well by this time and Emma had her eye on making Jason hers.
And if you ignore the rotten newspaper in the background, this is a really sweet picture!
The date didn't go too well to begin with- apparently the gloves are a bit of a touchy subject,
who knew?
But by the end I think it's safe to say they were both having a great time! With the possible
exception of the random girl walking past, who for whom I think it's safe to say is possibly
traumatised for life.
Random Girl- “Gross. Narration.”
Then the glitching started. Poor Emma couldn't sleep longer then about an hour before a glitch
forced her to get back up. I tried moving the bed, replacing it, everything but it kept happening.
A rose from Jason after last night's date made up for it though, and so exhausted but still happy,
Emma went off to work. Get that science done girl!
Emma: “I feel like a zombieee!”
I'm sorry, I have no idea what on earth is wrong with you! I can't figure out what's causing this.
No glitching could stop the relationship between Emma and Jason from blooming however, and
one wintery Tuesday afternoon the two got together at her house so Emma could pop the big
question.
Jason was a bit surprised that Emma asked the question not him, but he gladly accepted
regardless!
And the 6,000 he brought with him was a big help which allowed the pair to improve their
house a lot!
I mean, sure, they couldn't afford a lot of furniture, but it was far better then the pokey one
room and bathroom Emma lived in before. And the house was filled with the love of a newly
engaged couple which more then made up for it.
And here I leave you! Next time: A marriage! More painting! Probably a baby or two!
(and better consistency between picture sizes, this is my first time using slideshare so I'm still
learning!)
See you next time, and thank you so much for reading! -Peanutbutter
