As a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, the author has been actively involved in several community groups and organizations, including serving as a member and graduate of leadership programs for Cape Girardeau and Jackson, working with the Chambers of Commerce for both areas, and participating in committees and councils focused on youth, substance abuse prevention, and fundraising for charity.
