Social Media Impact to Young Generation
In this decade social media use has gained high level of usage. Organizations and institutions have shifted from the formal way of communication and connected social media as way of communication because its simplicity. However, with all the applicability of social media in the current generation it has emerged as a tool to destruction for many young people. MySpace Facebook and Twitter are among many social sites that people choose to keep their communication through. Children and young people are using low language, engage in sex, immoral behaviors. Therefore, although social media has its benefits of cross border and regional connectivity of individuals, its impact on young generation morality cannot be overlooked. Social media has caused deaths and social mistrusts among many individuals and businesses.
First, social media has been used in spread of movies, audios and pictures that have negative impact to the viewers and especially generation. Lack of censure of the information through the social medial channels allows for any kind of information to pass to different recipients. Young people are the majority of the modern technology participants. Such information may have unaccepted behaviors such as sexually oriented materials, hate speech especially in situation where racial profiling is common, and cyber harass due to the possibility of hiding the identity of the social media participants. Information is known for its ability to change mind set and especially for young people who have not yet developed principles and therefore the information available to such people will be the information they will use to establish their life principles. Therefore sexual, improper communication and violence will be the most common principles that young people affected by these vices will be in their future life. Therefore, the future generation will fancy such vices which have a negative impact to the society in large. For most young people differentiating fantasy from reality has been a great issue. They are exposed to violence in the media which in most cases is a fantasy instead of the reality. Therefore young people believe in the violence spread by the media and they practice such violent acts amongst themselves. They also try the sexual behaviors they witness in the media which in most cases is very risk for young generation. Abortions due to unwanted pregnancies due to uncontrolled sexual behaviors as depicted by the media are become normal with the current generation (Clark 43).
Secondly, people and especially young people may not be aware of the privacy and confidentiality their personal data might be. Implication of sharing such information on social media of daring since most of social media sites do not have security policies. Therefore most young people might disclose confidential on the social sites causing distress after their identity and is .
ABSTACT: The contemporary world presents innumerable opportunities to people. With the advancement of technology, especially media which have brought forth revolutionary changes in human culture and civilization and make unique trends all over the world. In today’s society, media are thoroughly integrated into our life including electronic gadgets such as TV, Videogames, Smart phone, Internet, IPod etc. Adolescents are highly impressionable by the influence of media. It has both positive and negative impacts on adolescents’ lives. This study has shed light on the fact that the media has a disturbing potential to negatively affect many aspects of adolescents’ healthy development, store up anger, angry feelings and angry outburst.

ABSTRACT
Social media is a dissenting topic, especially today. Some people have had the view that social media ruins human interaction not to mention real life human relationships. On the other hand, in the era of everything instant, the idea of living has drastically changed. Initially, people held the idea that life is too hard but with the advancement in technology it has now become a saying that life is easy. All this is attributable to modern technology and equally important globalization, in the sense that people are becoming more independent and interconnected. Social media has changed the world as people used to know it in the sense that people can do everything in an interconnected world that enables instant communication. Some of the most popular social networking includes Facebook, and Twitter among others. Similarly, in this era of social networking people’s idea of reality has greatly changed and people handle such things as relationship differently. This being the case, the objective of this paper is to develop a final prospectus regarding the impacts of social media. Mainly, the paper will focus its attention on the impact of social media and some of the ways that can be used to define the controversy between social media and youths below the 23 years of age.
Impact of Social Media
As mentioned in the discussion, there are many social networks to choose from such as Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram among others. In understanding how social media impacts the youth, it is imperative to look at both the pros and cons of social media on the youth. Essentially social media has reduced the world in a global village which means youths can share and interact easily and instant. Conferring with Ahn (2011), addiction to social media has resulted to poor performance in leaning institutions. Many bright students have resorted to bad behaviours because of social media. Ideally, social media has captured the attention of youths to an extent of not focusing on studies. The issue of mobile phones in learning institutions has invited an endless debate currently. Teachers have complained that students are using phones to connect with their friends and families through such networking sites like Facebook. This idea of using phones in classrooms has deteriorated student performance.
Additionally, youth are so addicted to social media that they do not study at home. Normally, students are supposed to maintain impartiality between social media and studies. This obsession with social media is detrimental to the youth lives. It is estimated that 70% of the district school block have access to social network sites. The rationale behind this is that online communities allow youths to build social capital. In other words, youths are able to access information, seek advice and share ideas through a network of relationships. Most of these SNS o.

The fact that social media has become part our daily live cannot be overlooked especially in the current innovations in technology. Access to devices such as smart phones and broadband internet has created an easy way through which any one can access any form of information that they want. Although the social media has played a special role in ensuring that the information that we is at our disposal, it has resulted in serious erosion of human morals and ethics. It is not surprising that people value their phones more than they do to their fellow human. However, this research will look at how the young people have been impacted by the social media.
The current widespread of the social are becoming an area of interest among the researchers especially about how it has affected the community around the world. Almost every individual is connected to at least one social media plat form and this has attracted the researchers to learn more about these platforms and how they have affected the community around. However, the most affected are the teenagers who have become fanatics of these platforms and have made them part of their daily life to an extent they cannot spend a minute without accessing them. This has never implication on their ethics, behavior and even their education.
Social media has both positive and negative implications to the youths and this paper seeks to address these impacts with a special focus on the youths.
The positive impacts is that the youths can interact with one another without meeting physically across the globe and this has enhanced creation of friendship and therefore, strong social ties. Moreover, the youths stay updated on the events that happen around the world at the comfort of their rooms or working places. Also, many youths have made the social media a source of their income and have utilized it to improve their lives through improved connections.
Despite the good aspects connected to the social media, it has the negative side too and this has bad implications on the youths. To begin with, social media reduces face to interactions as they spend most of their time in these online platforms. This isolation result in psychological, emotional mental and physical effects to the youths. The minor are also introduced to immoral behaviors such as homosexuality, lesbianism and other sexual misconducts. Further, the youths are exposed to pornographic content which result in early pregnancies among the young girls and also increase the chance of contracting sexually transmitted infections.
A comprehension of these issues will help the society find ways through which to reduce the youth prevalence to the problems associated with sta.

Impact of Social Media among Students’ Behaviors in Tertiary Institution of A...IJSRP Journal
The impact of social media among students behavior in tertiary institution has become worrisome. Social media is a means of connections among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and network. This craze for social media has led to a host of question regarding its impact among students behavior particularly in tertiary institution. This paper is set to study the impact of social media among students in tertiary institution in Adamawa State, Nigeria. A 5 likert scale questionnaire comprises of 19 questions was used as an instrument for data collection. 300 respondents sampled from 6 selected tertiary institutions in Adamawa State formed the population of the study. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The study revealed that social media has positive impact as well as negative impact on students behavior. The study further recommended that students need to be trained on better usage of social media so as to minimize its misused, School management should train and encourage students on how to use skype and other video conferencing tools to have discussion with lecturers and group members academically.

Parents should pay close attention to the impact of the Internet on students' social and spiritual
values. This is because children cannot ignore the influence of the Internet, which is a powerful
tool. As a result, parents must teach their children how to use social networking sites and the
Internet safely. Additionally, they should educate their children about the advantages of
technology and encourage them to make wise decisions.

How has social Media affected today’s Youth?
Social Media is a prominent part of today's life, especially among young people. Unfortunately, the users of social media do not stop to think about the effects it has on their lives. For instance, people are becoming anti-social while they are at the same time desperate to make more friends on Facebook or get more followers on Twitter. People need to know the impact of social media, both negative and positive, rather than just engage blindly. While there are many positive aspects of social media, the negative aspects are equally many. To help make the right choices, this paper will be an analysis of the effects of social media on youths, and how the negative effects can be handled.
This paper will help youths and parents understand the dangers of social media and know the boundaries they should use as they use it. Failure to do so will cause them to fall to varying traps and dangers that will have negative consequences. Social media is one sector of the internet that is greatly used by criminals. On this site, youths get exposed to cyberbullying, online predators and sexting. These dangers should be discussed to let people know their damaging effects and how they can be avoided. Other than the above-mentioned dangers of using social media, there are effects that are rarely discussed. For instance, teens are not aware of the dangers of exposing their address on public platforms. This paper will expose these dangers and many more as well as provide the most appropriate solutions.

Abstract
There are numerous ways, positive and negative, in which social media impact college students.
Understanding sheer volume of time and the type of activities for which college students use social
networking sites is crucial for higher education administrators. Researchers have begun to empiri-
cally examine impacts on students’ well-being and have found some preliminary results that call for
more research. They find that social media are not the problem—the problem is the specific use and
purpose of social media activities that make the difference.

Deep Behavioral Phenotyping in Systems Neuroscience for Functional Atlasing a...Ana Luísa Pinho
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) provides means to characterize brain activations in response to behavior. However, cognitive neuroscience has been limited to group-level effects referring to the performance of specific tasks. To obtain the functional profile of elementary cognitive mechanisms, the combination of brain responses to many tasks is required. Yet, to date, both structural atlases and parcellation-based activations do not fully account for cognitive function and still present several limitations. Further, they do not adapt overall to individual characteristics. In this talk, I will give an account of deep-behavioral phenotyping strategies, namely data-driven methods in large task-fMRI datasets, to optimize functional brain-data collection and improve inference of effects-of-interest related to mental processes. Key to this approach is the employment of fast multi-functional paradigms rich on features that can be well parametrized and, consequently, facilitate the creation of psycho-physiological constructs to be modelled with imaging data. Particular emphasis will be given to music stimuli when studying high-order cognitive mechanisms, due to their ecological nature and quality to enable complex behavior compounded by discrete entities. I will also discuss how deep-behavioral phenotyping and individualized models applied to neuroimaging data can better account for the subject-specific organization of domain-general cognitive systems in the human brain. Finally, the accumulation of functional brain signatures brings the possibility to clarify relationships among tasks and create a univocal link between brain systems and mental functions through: (1) the development of ontologies proposing an organization of cognitive processes; and (2) brain-network taxonomies describing functional specialization. To this end, tools to improve commensurability in cognitive science are necessary, such as public repositories, ontology-based platforms and automated meta-analysis tools. I will thus discuss some brain-atlasing resources currently under development, and their applicability in cognitive as well as clinical neuroscience.
(May 29th, 2024) Advancements in Intravital Microscopy- Insights for Preclini...Scintica Instrumentation
Intravital microscopy (IVM) is a powerful tool utilized to study cellular behavior over time and space in vivo. Much of our understanding of cell biology has been accomplished using various in vitro and ex vivo methods; however, these studies do not necessarily reflect the natural dynamics of biological processes. Unlike traditional cell culture or fixed tissue imaging, IVM allows for the ultra-fast high-resolution imaging of cellular processes over time and space and were studied in its natural environment. Real-time visualization of biological processes in the context of an intact organism helps maintain physiological relevance and provide insights into the progression of disease, response to treatments or developmental processes.
In this webinar we give an overview of advanced applications of the IVM system in preclinical research. IVIM technology is a provider of all-in-one intravital microscopy systems and solutions optimized for in vivo imaging of live animal models at sub-micron resolution. The system’s unique features and user-friendly software enables researchers to probe fast dynamic biological processes such as immune cell tracking, cell-cell interaction as well as vascularization and tumor metastasis with exceptional detail. This webinar will also give an overview of IVM being utilized in drug development, offering a view into the intricate interaction between drugs/nanoparticles and tissues in vivo and allows for the evaluation of therapeutic intervention in a variety of tissues and organs. This interdisciplinary collaboration continues to drive the advancements of novel therapeutic strategies.
Cancer cell metabolism: special Reference to Lactate PathwayAADYARAJPANDEY1
Normal Cell Metabolism:
Cellular respiration describes the series of steps that cells use to break down sugar and other chemicals to get the energy we need to function.
Energy is stored in the bonds of glucose and when glucose is broken down, much of that energy is released.
Cell utilize energy in the form of ATP.
The first step of respiration is called glycolysis. In a series of steps, glycolysis breaks glucose into two smaller molecules - a chemical called pyruvate. A small amount of ATP is formed during this process.
Most healthy cells continue the breakdown in a second process, called the Kreb's cycle. The Kreb's cycle allows cells to “burn” the pyruvates made in glycolysis to get more ATP.
The last step in the breakdown of glucose is called oxidative phosphorylation (Ox-Phos).
It takes place in specialized cell structures called mitochondria. This process produces a large amount of ATP. Importantly, cells need oxygen to complete oxidative phosphorylation.
If a cell completes only glycolysis, only 2 molecules of ATP are made per glucose. However, if the cell completes the entire respiration process (glycolysis - Kreb's - oxidative phosphorylation), about 36 molecules of ATP are created, giving it much more energy to use.
IN CANCER CELL:
Unlike healthy cells that "burn" the entire molecule of sugar to capture a large amount of energy as ATP, cancer cells are wasteful.
Cancer cells only partially break down sugar molecules. They overuse the first step of respiration, glycolysis. They frequently do not complete the second step, oxidative phosphorylation.
This results in only 2 molecules of ATP per each glucose molecule instead of the 36 or so ATPs healthy cells gain. As a result, cancer cells need to use a lot more sugar molecules to get enough energy to survive.

introduction to WARBERG PHENOMENA:
WARBURG EFFECT Usually, cancer cells are highly glycolytic (glucose addiction) and take up more glucose than do normal cells from outside.
Otto Heinrich Warburg (; 8 October 1883 – 1 August 1970) In 1931 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology for his "discovery of the nature and mode of action of the respiratory enzyme.
WARNBURG EFFECT : cancer cells under aerobic (well-oxygenated) conditions to metabolize glucose to lactate (aerobic glycolysis) is known as the Warburg effect. Warburg made the observation that tumor slices consume glucose and secrete lactate at a higher rate than normal tissues.
Observation of Io’s Resurfacing via Plume Deposition Using Ground-based Adapt...Sérgio Sacani
Since volcanic activity was first discovered on Io from Voyager images in 1979, changes
on Io’s surface have been monitored from both spacecraft and ground-based telescopes.
Here, we present the highest spatial resolution images of Io ever obtained from a groundbased telescope. These images, acquired by the SHARK-VIS instrument on the Large
Binocular Telescope, show evidence of a major resurfacing event on Io’s trailing hemisphere. When compared to the most recent spacecraft images, the SHARK-VIS images
show that a plume deposit from a powerful eruption at Pillan Patera has covered part
of the long-lived Pele plume deposit. Although this type of resurfacing event may be common on Io, few have been detected due to the rarity of spacecraft visits and the previously low spatial resolution available from Earth-based telescopes. The SHARK-VIS instrument ushers in a new era of high resolution imaging of Io’s surface using adaptive
optics at visible wavelengths.
THE IMPORTANCE OF MARTIAN ATMOSPHERE SAMPLE RETURN.Sérgio Sacani
The return of a sample of near-surface atmosphere from Mars would facilitate answers to several first-order science questions surrounding the formation and evolution of the planet. One of the important aspects of terrestrial planet formation in general is the role that primary atmospheres played in influencing the chemistry and structure of the planets and their antecedents. Studies of the martian atmosphere can be used to investigate the role of a primary atmosphere in its history. Atmosphere samples would also inform our understanding of the near-surface chemistry of the planet, and ultimately the prospects for life. High-precision isotopic analyses of constituent gases are needed to address these questions, requiring that the analyses are made on returned samples rather than in situ.
Richard's entangled aventures in wonderlandRichard Gill
Since the loophole-free Bell experiments of 2020 and the Nobel prizes in physics of 2022, critics of Bell's work have retreated to the fortress of super-determinism. Now, super-determinism is a derogatory word - it just means "determinism". Palmer, Hance and Hossenfelder argue that quantum mechanics and determinism are not incompatible, using a sophisticated mathematical construction based on a subtle thinning of allowed states and measurements in quantum mechanics, such that what is left appears to make Bell's argument fail, without altering the empirical predictions of quantum mechanics. I think however that it is a smoke screen, and the slogan "lost in math" comes to my mind. I will discuss some other recent disproofs of Bell's theorem using the language of causality based on causal graphs. Causal thinking is also central to law and justice. I will mention surprising connections to my work on serial killer nurse cases, in particular the Dutch case of Lucia de Berk and the current UK case of Lucy Letby.

2. INTRODUCTION
New technological advancements have had a drastic impact on the way individuals
communicate. With the different kind of online communication methods and tools that it
provides, the social media automatically becomes an integrated mode of human interaction. The
usage of powerful social media platforms such as Facebook, Twiter, Instagram, and yu tube
unquestionably interaction and creating a new system of messages by which people attempt to
understand one another both verbally and nonverbally. The role that social media plays in
interpersonal interaction is crucial to understand and without doubt, there is a wide range of
diverse interpretations related to this phenomenon. This essay critise the influence of social
media on interpersonal communication.
EFFECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION.
SMS usage and communication influences the type of interaction methods of
socialization within a person’s environment. It is now a practice to communicate and resolve
conflicts through SMS communication in everyday life. In the past these were responsibilities
that were obligated to interpersonal skills conducted through face-to face interaction and
communication. Face-to-face interaction relationships are characterized as a verbal social
exchange of knowledge or information that occurs between two people (Nugent, 2013). An
example of this would-be people talking in a verbal conversation. Without face-to-face
interaction there is a possibility of valuable nonverbal communication cues going undetected or
simply being disregarded, which may cause a distance or misunderstanding during
communication. According to the online version of the Collins English Dictionary (2017),
nonverbal communication cues entail things such as the expressions on the face, arm
movements, a body’s stance, or the tone of voice being used and these aid in indicating how a
person feels about something short of using words. Much of the education on nonverbal
communication is learned in home environments by relatives or other parties with significant
3. face-to-face interactions which if effected then impacts the developmental process of the future
generations.
The home is an important factor in learning social and cultural values for families. The
role of the computer and the Internet within the home can have an influence on the intellectual
development of children and adolescents. This can also prepare them for a role in life in which
technology plays an important contribution. Elisa wrote in an investigation regarding family
socialization strategies, that the traditional evenings of sitting around the dinner table as a family
and telling stories, that in history traditionally contributed in the aspects of forming a common
bond and healthy family relationships, are now gone due to the saturation of media and
technology use in the home (2009). Without this example of a face-to-face relationship and
interaction there is no place for future generations to learn the social cues needed to be proficient
in today’s society. The role of the computer and the Internet within the home can have an
influence on the intellectual development of children and adolescents which can also prepare
them for a role in life in which technology plays an important contribution of how to
communicate, self-express and entertain (Plowman, McPake, & Stephen, 2010). This is argued
by Arizona State University professors, Eisenberg and Valiente, who state children will model
the behavior that they frequently observe and encounter through adults. Honesty and lying are
examples that are commonly influenced by parents, but positively displayed prosocial behaviors
of high moral judgement, such as empathy and sharing will also have a great influence on their
children (Moore, 2015).
Research conducted by Bovill and Livingstone (2001) argues that excessive media usage
is leading adolescents and children to spend large portions of their time in the bedrooms instead
of family or communal areas of the home. This in turn is causing a more individualized and
4. socially excluded generation who is spending less time with family members within the home
and causing a negative impact on communication and social interaction skills (Bovill &
Livingstone, 2001).
SMS site usage can be an activity that consumes time that could be otherwise spent with
family members. Mesch (2006) argued that Internet use at home is positively associated with
family conflicts and distances people from communication and social interaction within the
family structure. Studies conducted by Mesch (2006) showed that daily frequency of low Internet
usage for teens showed a more positively relationship with family members and friends.
Adolescents also reported that Internet usage does not improve their relationships with parents
and it also consumes time that could be spent with family members (Mesch, 2006). It is also
observed by Mesch (2006) that families who devote time together in shared activities enjoy a
higher quality of communication within the family.
A study conducted by Kraut, Scherlis, Mukhopadhyay, Manning, & Kiesler, measuring
the impact of social and psychological involvement regarding Internet usage and well-being,
found a relationship between the greater usage of the Internet and the declines in the
communication between family members within a home (1996). This study further suggested
that Internet usage can result in the reduction of family communication and face-to-face
interaction (Kraut et al., 1996). A different study conducted by Kraut, Kielser, Boneva,
Cummings, Helgeson, & Crawford, found that high Internet usage, for communication purposes,
was connected to low levels of communication in the home and also increased the feelings of
loneliness and depression (2002). Plowman et al., (2010) suggests that technology can have a
negative impact on the social interactions within the home, and references (Palmer, 2007)
regarding modern culture creating a toxic technology driven atmosphere which can increase the
risk of social isolation, limit linguistics, and increase obesity.
In some cases, social media enhances interpersonal relationships. Communicating with
people through the social media platforms allows us to create relationships with anyone,
anywhere in the world no matter how far they are from us and regardless of the time zone. It is
also getting people from online virtual relationships to offline into real world relationships. For
instance, somebody may be interacting with someone on Facebook (online) and it reaches a time
where they plan and meet, hence, creating face-face communication. On the other hand, people
5. who can’t communicate with others in real life situations can use the social media as temporary
bridge that enable them to converse with other people at their comfort hence, creating good
relationships between them.
Research conducted by Milissa, (2016) argues that social media has caused many people
to die. The people who die are mostly youths, this is due to the cyberbullying. This is the use of
social media i.e. digital communication tools to make other people feel angered, sad or scared.
Social media bullying is subtler than physical bullying. Youths are dying of this because they do
not have enough capacity of skills to deal with severe bullying. She argued that, youths lack
skills do handle severe bullying and stress due the fact that they spent most of their time on
phones and computers rather than talking to their parents, church leaders and guardians so as
they can consult or they can be taught on how to handle such situations or in case of a stress. Due
to this, many cases of university student committing suicide has been all along the years. Not
only university students but also youths in general.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, social media has many negative impacts on interpersonal communication
than the positive. According to this work we have done, we found out that social media has
greatly derailed interpersonal communication that lead to good relationships among people who
live together or who work in the same company or organization i.e. spending less time with
family members within the home, toxic technology driven atmosphere which can increase the
risk of social isolation, limit linguistics, and increase obesity.
