People socialize on Facebook through games that allow friends to compete for bragging rights. Messaging allows direct private communication by sending pictures, videos, or messages. Posting is a more public way to share thoughts and updates with all friends by making posts visible on your profile page. Liking keeps you informed of new content friends add to their pages.
