3. Matt 2:1-2 NLT
1 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea,
during the reign of King Herod. About
that time some wise men from eastern
lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,
2 “Where is the newborn king of the Jews?
We saw his star as it rose, and we have
come to worship him.”
4. Yadah is a verb with a root meaning,
"the extended hand, to throw out the
hand, therefore to worship with
extended hand." According to the
Lexicon, the opposite meaning is "to
bemoan, the wringing of the hands."
5. Rom 12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind. Then you will be able to test
and approve what God’s will is—his good,
pleasing and perfect will.
21. Lifting Our Hands Is An
Outward Manifestation Of
Your Inward Condition Of
Your Heart.
22. Psalm 63:1-4
1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek
you; I thirst for you, my whole being
longs for you, in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and
beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life, my
lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in
your name I will lift up my hands. (David
in wilderness)
28. Gen 29:31-35
31 When the Lord saw that Leah was not
loved, he enabled her to conceive, but
Rachel remained childless.
32 Leah became pregnant and gave birth to
a son. She named him Reuben,[a] for she
said, “It is because the Lord has seen my
misery. Surely my husband will love me
now.”
29. Gen 29:31-35
33 She conceived again, and when she
gave birth to a son she said, “Because the
Lord heard that I am not loved, he gave
me this one too.” So she named him
Simeon.[b]
34 Again she conceived, and when she
gave birth to a son she said, “Now at last
my husband will become attached to me,
because I have borne him three sons.” So
he was named Levi.[c]
30. Gen 29:31-35
35 She conceived again, and when she
gave birth to a son she said, “This time I
will praise the Lord.” So she named him
Judah.[d] Then she stopped having
children.

42. Exodus17:10-13
10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as
Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and
Hur went to the top of the hill.
11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the
Israelites were winning, but whenever he
lowered his hands, the Amalekites were
winning.
43. Exodus17:10-13
12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they
took a stone and put it under him and he
sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands
up—one on one side, one on the other—so
that his hands remained steady till sunset.
13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite
army with the sword.
