This document summarizes the National UN Volunteer (NUNV) scheme in Zambia, which was established in 2004 to help coordinate HIV/AIDS responses at local levels. It introduced 96 NUNV specialists deployed across districts, ministries and organizations to ensure multisectoral responses were implemented locally. The scheme addressed capacity challenges as local districts previously lacked full-time technical staff for HIV/AIDS coordination. It demonstrates how well-designed volunteer initiatives can contribute to sustainable interventions through local ownership and capacity building. The document outlines lessons learned and challenges faced by NUNVs and recommends how the scheme could be strengthened.

This document discusses hypernatremia, which is defined as a serum sodium level exceeding 145 mEq/liter. Sodium levels are normally regulated by ADH and the thirst mechanism, but hypernatremia can occur when there is a loss of hypotonic fluid and impaired access to water, such as in infants, elderly patients, or those who are unconscious. This leads to cellular dehydration and neurological issues if sodium levels rise too high. Causes include excessive sodium intake, water loss from vomiting/diarrhea, and certain drugs. Signs may include thirst, lethargy, seizures, or coma depending on the severity. The diagnosis involves checking serum and urine osmolality and electrolyte levels.

This thesis evaluates different template systems for requirements specification. It first conducts a theoretical evaluation of MASTeR, EARS, and Planguage template systems to analyze their strengths and weaknesses. It then implements a user interface for template systems to assist with requirements documentation. Finally, an experiment is performed with industry professionals and students to compare MASTeR and EARS in reading and writing requirements. The results suggest that template systems can improve requirements specification and that MASTeR may be more suitable.
