Facts -In the colonial schools they all had religion. -Most of the schools in the 1600's had religious sponsership -They were taught reading, writing and arithmetic -many children were taught from a hornbook which had there lessons on it. -Some of the schools taught only boys and some taught only girls -Poor children didn't get any education at all -Some children also had private tutors. -The ABC's might have been in roman numerals. -The children were also taught on a paddle which also had the lessons on it.

More Facts -One of the books that they used was the bible to learn from -They had went to school at around 7 a.m -The girls also studied art,music,French,needle work,spinning,weaving,cooking and also nursing. -They also learned how to work a plantation for when they get older.
