Eric the Red meets Mibs on a long lonesome road when a big pink bus nearly hits him. Mibs and the bus driver Lester take Eric on their bus. Eric demands to be taken to Greenland, where he established the first Viking settlement after being banned from Norway for killing a man. A few days later, Eric bids farewell to Mibs and the others in Greenland.

Erik the Red was exiled from Iceland for 3 years for killing two men. He heard of lands to the west of Iceland and traveled there with his family, finding the land green and fertile. He named it Greenland and established a settlement. After his banishment ended, he returned to Iceland and convinced other Vikings to settle in Greenland. His son Leif Erikson later traveled to Norway and was converted to Christianity. When he returned to Greenland, he introduced Christianity but his father Erik the Red rejected it. Leif Erikson then led an expedition to explore lands even further west, where he discovered grapes and named the place Vinland.

While Eric was in shock, they bumped and thumped and put him in the back of the bus. A few hours later Eric woke up and when he saw a random boy (Will) standing over him and he pounded his face in . When Lester heard the sceaming he turned around and had his best what-do-I-now-look and said,” W..what did you do?!??!!” When Eric stood up he said…”Take me to Greenland for this is where I need to go!” Then Mibs turned around and said in a higley pigley way…”I thought we were going to see papa?”Then Eric barreled down to the front of the bus to yell at soft-hearted Lester. A few days later at icy Greenland Eric bid them farewell.
