4. About Coinadrink
Coinadrink was established in 1962 and remains a
privately owned, family business
Unlike many other vending operators in
the UK, Coinadrink is not in the business
of selling boxes, we are here to provide
a service. Our business model revolves
around supplying a comprehensive vending
service, which adapts to our customers’
needs, and extends far beyond the initial
machine installation.
We do not believe our customers should be
expected to finance their own machines.
Coinadrink finances the equipment itself
and works with a few, carefully chosen
manufacturers, who make machines that
we know are reliable and offer continuity
of supply of equipment.
The benefits of this approach to the
customer are several. Perhaps most
significantly, our customers have no
financial outlay or ongoing financing
commitment to fund machines. For
Coinadrink, the return on investment
comes as a result of a fully operational,
clean and well stocked machine. As a
result, our customers can be confident that
the equipment we install will be reliable,
well maintained, regularly cleaned and
re-stocked, and that any problems will
be dealt with promptly. Machines that
are empty, dirty or not working, are no
good for you, your staff, or Coinadrink’s
business.

Coinadrink’s people are core to our success
Coinadrink are pioneers of investing in
staff, maintaining training, and committing
to the continual development of an
individual’s skills. Each member of staff
has a personal training plan for the year,
tailored to help them develop or hone the
skills they need to further their career.
Our commitment to continual staff
development is underlined by the
company’s Investors in People Gold Status.
Coinadrink first gained Investors in People
in 1991, and at the last assessment in
2012, we were delighted to achieve the
rarely awarded Gold Status. Investors in
People is, as it sounds, about a business
investing in the development of its staff, in
order to transform overall performance.
Within the framework of Investors in
People, the educational needs of staff
are met. Effective communication means
the views of staff are sought and acted
upon, and there is a spirit of continual
improvement. In turn, people who are
happy in their work are more committed,
and the company becomes one unit of
owners, management and employees,
all working together to provide the best
products and services possible to the
customer.
As a result of these initiatives, Coinadrink
has a very low rate of staff attrition. By
keeping experienced staff within the
business, we help to maintain the quality
of the services we provide.

Coinadrink have one of the most flexible and reliable
vending machine line-ups in the industry
Coinadrink work closely with our
equipment suppliers, choosing to partner
with a limited number of manufacturers
for greater consistency and reliability. Our
equipment selection comprises a wide
range of hot beverage machines, with
everything from small horeca-style pod
and bean-to-cup systems, all the way up
to high-capacity free-standing automatics.
Products such as chilled confectionery,
snacks, food, and soft drinks are also
available, with glass fronted machines
and carousel systems providing excellent
product visibility and choice. In addition to
traditional vending machines, we now have
a specialist water cooler department, as
well as a new micro-markets service that
is ideal for very large sites.
Don’t worry if you don’t know what

9. A beverage machine
for every situation
Whatever the size of your business, Coinadrink can
provide the perfect hot drinks solution
Even in locations with limited space, such
as reception areas, boardrooms or small
offices, vending machines offer a number
of advantages over making hot drinks by
hand. These systems not only save your
staff time, but also reduce waste and
improve drink quality.
There are many kinds of tabletop machines
available but the most popular are
compatible with InCup, pods or capsules.
InCup drinks are supplied with ingredients
already prepared in the bottom of the cup.
Simply place the cup under the machine for
instant hot water and a perfect drink.
Pod systems provide a huge choice of
drinks and are wonderfully convenient for
storage and use.
Bean to cup machines are also available
in tabletop format, they produce delicious
drinks, but tend to be a little larger than
the alternatives.

Coinadrink constantly review our systems to ensure we
are using the most efficient and reliable technology
As well as investing in its people,
Coinadrink also invests in technology. This
ensures we remain ahead of the game, and
helps drive efficiencies in the business.
The company now has a five-strong IT
team and our investment in technology
has enabled administrative functions to be
streamlined, with the savings re-directed
into front line services.
Some of our latest machines now feature
integrated automatic text messaging to
inform our engineers about system faults
in real-time.
From the customer’s perspective, this
means many issues can be dealt with
before they even become aware of the
problem themselves.
Other investments include the addition of
robust and easy to use hand-held devices
for stock control and machine servicing.
These improvements have resulted in
substantial time savings for engineers and
helped drive further efficiencies.

12. Unrivalled Service
Coinadrink’s service is a 24-7 operation, 363 days a year
After an initial consultation, Coinadrink will
perform a site survey to establish what
machine, or combination of machines,
will be best suited to meet a customer’s
requirements. Once this has been
agreed and the equipment installed, our
professional managed vending service
begins, with operators making regular
visits to re-fill and clean machines.
As service is core to our business we
don’t take any chances with third-party
contractors. All of our service-related
personnel are directly employed by us.
This means Coinadrink has complete
control over operations with our own
team of dedicated people. This applies
to all aspects of our business, even food
service, an area that many operators
choose to contract out. Coinadrink has
direct responsibility for filling the food
machines and managing waste. This is
important because quite often third-party
contractors fail to manage the waste
efficiently, it starts to become excessive,
costs money, and the entire service
operation breaks down.

16. Express Refreshments
Express Refreshments is the latest addition to the
Coinadrink family of companies
Express Refreshments specialises in
the latest retail convenience trend to hit
the UK—micro-markets. The Express
Refreshments’ micro-market is a self-
service, bespoke, convenience store, that
is located in any available space within
the workplace. It provides on-site staff
with a wider choice of refreshments than
would be available from vending machines,
making it perfect for businesses located on
retail parks, away from city centres.
Products are displayed, retail-style, on
shelves and customers can browse, pick
up items and check their ingredients
and nutritional values before making a
purchase. Payments are made via swipe
cards using our self-service touch-screen
kiosks. There is no need to carry cash in
store as the cards can be topped up online.
CCTV keeps an eye on things and stock
levels are constantly monitored, so shelves
can be replenished before they are empty.

make shopping simple...
The exact product mix can be tailored to the
client’s specifications but can include fresh
bean-to-cup coffee, tea and hot chocolate,
chilled soft drinks, sandwiches, baguettes
salad pots, yoghurts, microwaveable meals,
snacks and confectionery.
18. Shop online with Coinadrink’s Refreshmentshop
Recognising the growing popularity
of internet shopping, and the added
convenience it can bring to businesses
and individuals, who may not be able to
browse the shops during typical retail
hours, Coinadrink opened our own online
shop. Refreshmentshop is open 24/7
and is perfect for sites that want to
manage their own operation, or add to an
existing one. The product range offered
through Refreshmentshop goes beyond
vending ingredients to include biscuits,
cakes, single-serve portions, disposables,
catering equipment, snacks and speciality
beverages.

19. Aquatek is our dedicated water cooler division
Aquatek was established in
1990 as a response to the high
demand for both bottled water
coolers and point-of-use (POU)
dispensers. Coinadrink has since
expanded the range of equipment
and services available from
Aquatek to include water boilers,
filter jugs and water fountains.
A rental service is offered and
clients opting for this will benefit
from Aquatek’s professional
service that includes a team of
technicians to clean and sanitise
coolers, as well as regular
deliveries of English spring water.

20. Coinadrink’s in-house hot drinks ingredients range make
high quality refreshments more affordable than ever
CaféCasa is a branded high street-style
range of products, including premium
quality hot drinks, paper cups and
machines that bring speciality coffees to
the workplace. Coinadrink understands
that today’s consumers want, and
increasingly demand, the style and choice
of coffees the high street has to offer. We
developed CaféCasa to give them just that,
but at an affordable price.
With CaféCasa, Coinadrink decided that no
compromise would be made on the quality
of the beverages, and worked closely with
its suppliers to achieve this. The choice of
machines includes pod/capsule systems,
for very low volume sites, bean-to-cup,
table-top, and free-standing fresh brew
machines (with up to a 1200 cup capacity),
for the largest volume sites.

21. Coffee Towers
The values of the CaféCasa brand are a perfect match
for the Coinadrink Coffee Tower solution
It is hard to miss the strongly branded,
self-service and self-contained coffee
units that are already a common feature of
garage forecourts the length and breadth
of the country. These Coffee Towers are
now moving into other sectors of the
community: health, education and even
business & industry, anywhere with a
demand for gourmet coffee on-the-go and
around the clock.
Coinadrink have designed our own, fully
branded CaféCasa Coffee Tower. The
project is the result of many months’
work, planning, designing and creating a
Coffee Tower that will not only serve great
gourmet coffee, but also attract customers
with superb presentation, reliability and
trouble-free operation.
The integrated machines in these Coffee
Towers offer premium CaféCasa coffee
beans for a truly authentic speciality
coffee, as well as leaf tea and luxurious hot
chocolate.
Drinks are served in CaféCasa branded
12oz paper cups, just as you would expect
on the High Street.

Coinadrink’s accreditations demonstrate our ongoing
commitment to quality, hygiene and sustainability
Coinadrink have a progressive policy
on the environment and sustainability.
The company is committed to the 3R
principle—reduce, reuse and recycle—to
encourage environmentally responsible
behaviour, and has been ISO 14001
accredited since 2001.
Coinadrink adopt the farm to fork
approach, regularly auditing suppliers and
our own team to ensure that they follow
set standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
We are one of the few vending companies
who do not subcontract our food service.
Environmental Health officers awarded
us 5 stars on cleanliness, food handling,
health and safety and good practice. To
remove the risk of contamination, our
route operators carry sterilised exchange
hygiene kits for beverage machines, this
means we never wash parts on your site.
Research scientists looking into vending
hygiene at Cardiff University, gave us
the accolade of being the only vending
company that correctly validates our
cleaning procedures. Coinadrink is
also an ISO 9001 accredited company,
which means we operate according to
internationally agreed standards for
quality and management.
