Maura Minix grew up in Prestonsburg, KY where she attended high school and volunteered at the local hospital pharmacy, discovering her passion for pharmacy. She attended the University of Kentucky to study Human Nutrition and has been accepted to Midway College School of Pharmacy. After completing pharmacy school, she plans to pursue a career in retail pharmacy around her hometown area of Paintsville, Prestonsburg, or Pikeville, Kentucky.

The goal is to better inform first-time voters and bring together Flemish and Walloon youth through increasing their political participation and awareness of shared interests across Belgium's political spectrum.
