Out of One, Many - Distributing Online Course Content Across Multiple Platfor...Jared Stein
Utah Valley State College was facing challenges with distributing online course content across multiple platforms and devices. They developed a "Shadow System" to organize course content into packages that could be imported into different learning management systems and content management systems. This allowed a single source of course content that could be accessed on different systems and devices, solving problems around version control and platform migration. The Shadow System organized content into open and private sections and generated navigation for linear access on different platforms.
Introduces concepts of openness in education, and explains concepts behind the OpenShare modification that allows Moodle teachers to share just parts of their online courses.

This document discusses the applicability of Secretarial Standards 1 and 2 to Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Private Limited (THCM).

The document provides guidance on secretarial standards related to board meetings and general meetings as per the Companies Act 2013. It outlines the key requirements around notice, agenda, quorum, attendance and other procedural aspects that need to be followed for board and committee meetings. Electronic participation is allowed for certain non-restricted items if the facility is provided by the company. At least one board meeting needs to be held every quarter and independent directors must meet annually to review performance.
The document discusses Karl Weick's concept of "loose coupling" as a metaphor for understanding educational organizations. Weick uses metaphors of a round, sloped soccer field with multiple goals to illustrate loosely coupled systems, where elements are connected but retain separate identities and can respond independently to local conditions. Loose coupling allows educational organizations to combine centralized coordination with decentralized autonomy in a way that promotes flexibility and innovation over rigid bureaucracy.

Editor's Notes
Hello – and welcome the Companies Made Simple presentation. This presentation will guide you through the online portal and dashboard and highlight the various areas and functions available to you.
This is your dashboard where you can see the various sections to your online portal.
Above your buttons or links to the different sections is what we call the ‘alerts section’. This will only show up if you have uncompleted tasks relating to your companies in your account. As you can see in our account here we have a company incorporation we still need to complete as well as an annual return to file.
Here we have the ‘my details’
Order history
Business library
And template statutory forms section. These sections are self explanatory so we’ll skip past those for now.
The my companies section
You’re my companies section is divided into the
We’ll now take a look at one of the incorporated companies
When clicking on the company it displays the summary page for the company where you will be able to perform various takes for that specific company
The name of the company is displayed in the top left-hand corner
In the top right-hand corner is what we call the quick links toolbar
Here you can quickly perform the most common task associated with the company like Syncing the company data with companies house Changing the registered office Appointing company officers Allocating shares Filing annual returns Producing and tracking dividends And switching on and off your annual return and accounts reminders for the company so that you never caught out with late filing
Here you can apply for a barclays bank account and get cashback just for opening a business bank account
As with the quick links, there are links all over the summary page for the various actions like syncing the data with companies house
Filing the annual return
Updating the registered office
Allocating shares online
Appointing new directors
Viewing, editing or resigning current directors
Viewing shareholder details
Appointing, editing and resigning secretaries
Downloading share certificates for subscribers
And downloading your company documents
Importing a company
Where you insert your company number
Then your authentication code
Then click import and the company will be shown in you’re my companies section
Forming a company
First is the name search
Type the name in here to see if it is available
And click search to check with companies house directly
If the name is available
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3 and so on
filing annual returns
This is the information page where you will enter the details for the annual return
Firstly you can sync the company to pull in all information available from companies house – this will pre-populate most of the fields so that you don’t have to enter the information manually.
Certain information will be required if companies house does not have it
Once completed you will go to the summary page where you can check all the information entered
Highlighted above is the simple 4 step process to completing your annual return – with our sync completing most of it for you your annual return should not take more than 5min to complete.
Adding credit to your account
Here you can add credit to your account should you not want to insert card details for every transaction you process
Here your available credit is displayed
You add the amount you want to upload
And click to make payment
