Cluster?
The
Habitat
Cluster,
a
major
agglomerate
of
economical
ac<vi<es
in
Portugal
as
well
as
in
Europe.
…gathers
raw
materials
extrac<ng
ac<vi<es,
materials
transforma<on
and
suppliers
companies
(from
wood,
metals,
plas/cs
to
ceramics
and
cement),
the
construc2on
ac2vi2es
and
also
other
suppliers
of
goods
and
equipments
for
the
Habitat,
a
relevant
cluster
in
the
European
economy…
Clusters
ini<a<ve
in
Portugal
was
launched
in
2008
and
their
recogni<on
was
finished
in
October
2009.
The
Portuguese
Sustainable
Habitat
Cluster
based
its
ac<on
program
in
the
concept
that
Sustainability
could
be
an
excellent
driving
force
and
challenge
for
Innova2on
and
Compe22veness.

4.  To develop a network of partnerships for the development of products, technologies and systems for a
more sustainable habitat;
 To promote innovation projects using the cluster synergies making sustainability a differentiation factor
for competitiveness;

market, at the urban planning level and at the materials, solutions and technologies development level.
