Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper
Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion PaperIn a major study conducted in 2002, nurse
staffing shortages was identified as one of the top risks to patient safety in healthcare. The
link between healthcare staffing and patient results includes consistency, protection, and
knowledge, both of which are intuitively understood but not universally agreed. Because of
the difference, high-quality nursing care with sufficient staffing can restrict patient care
coverage and increase the cost of care. Interactions within the factors of staff, education,
expertise, value, and hospitals must be understood and incorporated into the form of data
analysis to gain a greater interpretation of the effect of staff numbers on patient outcomes
(American Nurses Association, 2019). The aim of this paper is to discuss four peer-reviewed
papers that deal with the relationship ( between nursing staffing and patient outcomes in
order to further explain and interpret the study methodologies utilized in each article

how itrelates to theclinical issue ofinterest (includea briefexplanation ofthe ethics of
research related to your clinical issue of interest) When patient admission and census
are high, and staffing is low, the hospital fails to reach quality expectations. Seasonal
conditions influence admissions and health care requirements. The supply of nursing staff
differs due to the season. Getting or not having enough nursing staff has an effect on patient
outcomes.According to the American Nurses Association (ANA), proper staffing reduces
nursing problems and errors, improves patient retention, and reduces nurse burnout
Patient safety is the obligation of the patient care team, and nursing personnel is a
critical factor in avoiding patient accidents. Drop rates differ between acute care facilities,
according to cross-sectional surveys. There is no direct connection between nurse staffing
and the rate of dropping Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. Nurses are at
the heart of providing high-quality services in hospitals. However, knowing the most
effective dosing of the amount of nurses caring for a specified number of patients is
important. There is a need for a study of the facts that nursing staffing levels impair patient
outcomes. Nurse hiring has been managed in a variety of ways by hospitals and
organisations. Nursing personnel is aggravated by a lack of consistency and agreement in
estimating the number and mix of nursing workers. Managers must be mindful of the effect
of a number of variables on the health care climate and nursing aspects. While there is
a correlation between nurse staffing and healthcare-associated infection (HAI), there is a
scarcity of studies on the topic with clear differences, meanings, and steps. HAIs are
significant patient safety concerns that cause elevated morbidity and mortality while still
consuming a significant number of healthcare services and costs. To achieve the target of
improved patient outcomes, it is important to examine the impacts on HAIs on institutional
rates including nurse-to-patient ratio, nurse training, and work form.Briefdescription of the
aims of the research of each peer- reviewed article The aim of the analysis is to look at
the connection between nurse staffing and patient outcomes, including falls and hospital-
acquired pressure ulcers, as well as seasonal patterns. To determine how these shifts in
nursing personnel impact patient outcomes and how the two topics are related, time flows
and seasonal trends were observed. The aim of the evaluation is to see how hospitals can
be graded based on their fall rates, as well as to look at nurse staffing and patient features in
comparison to the hospital fall trend trajectory category. The study's goal is to examine
the relationship between nurse staffing rates and nurse-sensitive patient conditions in
acute healthcare settings by data analysis. The aim is to find prior research undertaken by
experts that looked at the relationship between nurse staffing and patient outcomes. The
survey's aim is to comprehend and evaluate the most current findings on the correlation
between hospital personnel and the risk of HAI.Briefdescription of the research
methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodologyused was qualitative, quantitative,
or a mixed- methods approach. Bespecific. The study is a longitudinal design based on
NDNQI data from 2004 to 2012. To discover correlations between factors, longitudinal
analyses use statistical data and quantitative and/or qualitative data obtained on any
mixture of results without any external interference.ORDER A PLAGIARISM-FREE PAPER
HERE The study classified hospitals into classes dependent on their long-term fall rates
using latent class development modeling. Latent Class Growth Modeling (LCGM) is a semi-
parametric mathematical method for analyzing empirical results that examines
improvements in a variety of results in a variety of disciplines. The research used an LCGM
comprehensive study to collect and interpret data from NDNQI quarterly reports on
configuration, operation, and patient fall rates over a 54-month period. The NDNQI data are
used to categorize the personnel attributes and hospital organisation by ability
combination, bed size, learning centres, venue, procedures, and magnet classification
Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. The researchers performed a
systematic study utilizing meta-analysis criteria and MEDLINE, PubMed, and CINAHL
databases to identify published studies. The researchers used a combination of cohort and
longitudinal sample designs to determine the connection between nurse staffing and HAI
threats, rendering the study quantitative.A briefdescription ofthe strengthsof each of
theresearchmethodologiesused, includingreliability andvalidity of howthemethodologywas
applied ineach of thepeer-reviewedarticles youselected. Longitudinal analysis helps
researchers to track trends over time, which is especially helpful in lifespan studies.
Researchers may look at how many aspects evolve over time and figure out why certain
transitions and shifts occur. Similarly, the researchers used a technique that enabled them
to look at the relationship between changes in nurse staffing and shifts in the rate of falls
and pressure ulcers, as well as inverse patterns with seasonal correlations. To improve the
validity of the system, grouping and averaging were used to minimize spontaneous within-
unit temporal variability. The usefulness in using LCGM in distinguishing similar
populations with other populations and identifying groups or types of component are two
of the benefits. The significance of the outcomes is determined by how the patient falls into
the dependent variable, and observable variables were identified by the seven classified
categories. Patient falls are influenced by variables such as hospital bed size, magnet
location, teaching status, metropolitan status, census area, total nursing hours, RN skill
balance, and procedure phase. The data from NDNQI is also reliable, which adds to the
research's credibility Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. The survey aimed for
English publications written between 2006 and 2017 in nine electronic databases. The
procedure from the PRISMA declaration was included in a comprehensive analysis. Cross-
sectional and meta-analysis is included in the systematic study. Cross-sectional and meta-
analysis studies are also quantitative. Cross-sectional research explores shifts in variables
over time using observations from multiple classes of subjects at various points in the
research phase. In investigational studies, qualitative correlational analysis is widely
utilized. Calculating the intensity of a partnership between variables may be a strong
starting point for more in-depth analysis. Through determining the intensity of correlations
between variables and establishing cause, qualitative correlational analysis may be a useful
counterpart to interventional study General Notes/Comments The study results can

Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper.docx

  • 1. Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion PaperIn a major study conducted in 2002, nurse staffing shortages was identified as one of the top risks to patient safety in healthcare. The link between healthcare staffing and patient results includes consistency, protection, and knowledge, both of which are intuitively understood but not universally agreed. Because of the difference, high-quality nursing care with sufficient staffing can restrict patient care coverage and increase the cost of care. Interactions within the factors of staff, education, expertise, value, and hospitals must be understood and incorporated into the form of data analysis to gain a greater interpretation of the effect of staff numbers on patient outcomes (American Nurses Association, 2019). The aim of this paper is to discuss four peer-reviewed papers that deal with the relationship ( between nursing staffing and patient outcomes in order to further explain and interpret the study methodologies utilized in each article Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper.ORDER A PLAGIARISM-FREE PAPER HEREMatrix Worksheet TemplateFull citation of selected article He, J., Staggs, V. Seasonal conditions influence admissions and health care requirements. The supply of nursing staff differs due to the season. Getting or not having enough nursing staff has an effect on patient outcomes.According to the American Nurses Association (ANA), proper staffing reduces nursing problems and errors, improves patient retention, and reduces nurse burnout Patient safety is the obligation of the patient care team, and nursing personnel is a
  • 2. critical factor in avoiding patient accidents. Drop rates differ between acute care facilities, according to cross-sectional surveys. There is no direct connection between nurse staffing and the rate of dropping Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. Nurses are at the heart of providing high-quality services in hospitals. However, knowing the most effective dosing of the amount of nurses caring for a specified number of patients is important. There is a need for a study of the facts that nursing staffing levels impair patient outcomes. Nurse hiring has been managed in a variety of ways by hospitals and organisations. Nursing personnel is aggravated by a lack of consistency and agreement in estimating the number and mix of nursing workers. Managers must be mindful of the effect of a number of variables on the health care climate and nursing aspects. While there is a correlation between nurse staffing and healthcare-associated infection (HAI), there is a scarcity of studies on the topic with clear differences, meanings, and steps. HAIs are significant patient safety concerns that cause elevated morbidity and mortality while still consuming a significant number of healthcare services and costs. To achieve the target of improved patient outcomes, it is important to examine the impacts on HAIs on institutional rates including nurse-to-patient ratio, nurse training, and work form.Briefdescription of the aims of the research of each peer- reviewed article The aim of the analysis is to look at the connection between nurse staffing and patient outcomes, including falls and hospital- acquired pressure ulcers, as well as seasonal patterns. To determine how these shifts in nursing personnel impact patient outcomes and how the two topics are related, time flows and seasonal trends were observed. The aim of the evaluation is to see how hospitals can be graded based on their fall rates, as well as to look at nurse staffing and patient features in comparison to the hospital fall trend trajectory category. The study's goal is to examine the relationship between nurse staffing rates and nurse-sensitive patient conditions in acute healthcare settings by data analysis. The aim is to find prior research undertaken by experts that looked at the relationship between nurse staffing and patient outcomes. The survey's aim is to comprehend and evaluate the most current findings on the correlation between hospital personnel and the risk of HAI.Briefdescription of the research methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodologyused was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed- methods approach. Bespecific. The study is a longitudinal design based on NDNQI data from 2004 to 2012. To discover correlations between factors, longitudinal analyses use statistical data and quantitative and/or qualitative data obtained on any mixture of results without any external interference.ORDER A PLAGIARISM-FREE PAPER HERE The study classified hospitals into classes dependent on their long-term fall rates using latent class development modeling. Latent Class Growth Modeling (LCGM) is a semi- parametric mathematical method for analyzing empirical results that examines improvements in a variety of results in a variety of disciplines. The research used an LCGM comprehensive study to collect and interpret data from NDNQI quarterly reports on configuration, operation, and patient fall rates over a 54-month period. The NDNQI data are used to categorize the personnel attributes and hospital organisation by ability combination, bed size, learning centres, venue, procedures, and magnet classification Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. The researchers performed a systematic study utilizing meta-analysis criteria and MEDLINE, PubMed, and CINAHL
  • 3. databases to identify published studies. The researchers used a combination of cohort and longitudinal sample designs to determine the connection between nurse staffing and HAI threats, rendering the study quantitative.A briefdescription ofthe strengthsof each of theresearchmethodologiesused, includingreliability andvalidity of howthemethodologywas applied ineach of thepeer-reviewedarticles youselected. Longitudinal analysis helps researchers to track trends over time, which is especially helpful in lifespan studies. Researchers may look at how many aspects evolve over time and figure out why certain transitions and shifts occur. Similarly, the researchers used a technique that enabled them to look at the relationship between changes in nurse staffing and shifts in the rate of falls and pressure ulcers, as well as inverse patterns with seasonal correlations. To improve the validity of the system, grouping and averaging were used to minimize spontaneous within- unit temporal variability. The usefulness in using LCGM in distinguishing similar populations with other populations and identifying groups or types of component are two of the benefits. The significance of the outcomes is determined by how the patient falls into the dependent variable, and observable variables were identified by the seven classified categories. Patient falls are influenced by variables such as hospital bed size, magnet location, teaching status, metropolitan status, census area, total nursing hours, RN skill balance, and procedure phase. The data from NDNQI is also reliable, which adds to the research's credibility Clinical Issue Essay Example Discussion Paper. The survey aimed for English publications written between 2006 and 2017 in nine electronic databases. The procedure from the PRISMA declaration was included in a comprehensive analysis. Cross- sectional and meta-analysis is included in the systematic study. Cross-sectional and meta- analysis studies are also quantitative. Cross-sectional research explores shifts in variables over time using observations from multiple classes of subjects at various points in the research phase. In investigational studies, qualitative correlational analysis is widely utilized. Calculating the intensity of a partnership between variables may be a strong starting point for more in-depth analysis. Through determining the intensity of correlations between variables and establishing cause, qualitative correlational analysis may be a useful counterpart to interventional study General Notes/Comments The study results can be relied upon in nursing practice The study results can be relied upon in nursing practice The study results can be relied upon in nursing practice The study results can be relied upon in nursing practiceReferencesAmerican Nurses Association.
