The processing power of those devices is limited, but they are often equipped with internet access which allows them to use AWS to provide more features or data processing capabilities to their users. Companies such as Dropcam for video capture, or Illumina for DNA sequencing, already produce devices that directly use AWS to offer much richer services. This session shows how to use an Intel Galileo board to interact with the AWS API. The board will collect sensor data that will be sent to the real-time data analytics backend built during part 1.
