5. TYPES OF FREELANCE
MARKETPLACES:
TRADITIONAL FREELANCING
MARKETPLACES
Traditional freelancing marketplace work in a simple way, an
employer comes to the freelancing marketplace and posts a project.
You as a freelancer bid on that project.
The employer checks your profile, your bid, and your response in the
bid and then initiates a communication channel between you and
him.
If your and the employer’s mentality syncs, he awards you the
project!
The employer pays you the amount after you complete the project.
This is the way how traditional freelancing marketplaces work.
7. NON-TRADITIONAL FREELANCING
MARKETPLACES
A freelance marketplace named Fiverr introduced the concept of a
non-traditional freelancing marketplace that got a big success.
People (freelancers) put their packages and services called Gigs,
on Fiverr.
Buyers visit their profile and check the services offered by them like
price, videos, extra offer and hire their services.
When the buyer place the order the payment is shifted into the
escrow.
When you deliver your order as a seller (freelancer) and the buyer
marks your order as delivered then the payment is shifted from
escrow to your Fiverr account.
8. WHAT IS ESCROW?
Escrow is basically a concept on different types of freelancing
marketplaces. When you get any project, the payments stay with the
freelancing marketplace until the project is marked as complete by
the buyer.
It protects both parties of interest i.e. the buyer and the seller
(freelancer).

48. HOW CAN I SUBMIT A FINISHED
WORK ?
For fixed price contracts, on the 'My Jobs' page, you'll see a 'submit
work/request payment' button. You can attach the work there. For
hourly, sending through messages is the best way since it's on-
platform. However, if you have the client's email or some other means
of sharing that will work too.
Also, it's better to wait for clients to close the contract. You have a
much better chance of getting feedback that way.
