Once Christopher Columbus proposed a new trade route to Asia by sea and discovered the Americas instead. Years later, Creoles in New Granada (present-day Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Venezuela) grew tired of Spanish rule and taxes. On July 20, 1810, they launched a rebellion against the Spanish viceroy and declared independence. However, the Spanish monarch sent forces to retake control of New Granada. It was not until August 7, 1819, when Simon Bolivar led patriot forces to victory over the Royalists at the Battle of Boyaca, that independence was secured.

Once a time an Italian Named Christopher columbus propose to the Spain loyalty about a new rute of comercy with
Asia from the ocean and the Queen accepted his idea.
Three months later (october 12 of 1492) Christopher Columbus found a new continent and was named America.
And later they brougth animals and soldiers and conquested all the terrytory stoling the minerals using slaves.
Years later Spain was under attack of Napoleon Bonapart. And Creoles made a plan about how to take the
Independence.
On 20 of july of 1810 some Creoles invented an excuse with a flower vase to attack tie off the rage of the all
Creoles. And the vice king and the Creoles signed the Independence of The Nueva Granada (Colombia with Ecuador,
Panamá, and Venezuela.)
And Spaniards with a new King made a conter-attack to take again the power of Nueva Granada.
On 7 of august of 1819 Simon Bolivar finished the campaign of freedom of Nueva Granada with the Boyaca battle.

CAUSES
Exclusion of Creoles:
The formation of a pro-independence intellectuals,
educated and informed, that it was possible to direct the destinity of the Nueva Granada.
Social inconformity: produced by the taxes imposed by the Spaniards crown on commercial and productive activities

4. EFFECTS
The Creoles consolidated their superiority and the differences
between the social classes became more profound. Shortly after
July 20, the natives were declared citizens and with they
increased their duties in relation to the government.
