The Streets and Highways Committee of Macedonia reviewed the city's roads conditions, finding 17% in poor condition, 70% in fair condition, and 11% in good condition. The service department proposed an annual preventative maintenance plan of crack sealing and pothole repair for roads in fair condition at an estimated cost. The building and engineering department recommended recycle and repaving of 12 roads rated poor, costing $1.94 million, but provided no estimate for the remaining 20 poor or 121 fair roads. The financial director presented current and annual roads revenue and spending while the committee discussed ongoing maintenance and repair cycles as well as financing options.
