Dental public clinics: Challenges and Successessaskohc
The Population and Public Health Dental Clinic began in 1995 as a pilot project serving 5 high-risk schools, and became a permanent program in 1998. The clinic sees children with poor oral health and limited dental coverage, and aims to complete a full treatment plan in 5-8 appointments to restore their oral health before discharging them. The clinic faces challenges like language barriers, managing patient behavior, providing nutritional education, and ensuring follow-up care after complex treatments. However, it has also found success in completing treatments and improving patients' oral health stories.

Pyramid diagram powerpoint
A pyramid chart has the form of a triangle with lines dividing it into sections. A related topic or idea is placed in each section. Because of the triangular shape, each section is a different width from the others; this width indicates a level of hierarchy among the topics. For example, the widest section may contain a general topic and the narrowest section may contain a much more specific topic from within that general topic. However, the width is not visually representative of the quantity beyond larger or smaller.

Maximizing Value and Consistency of Experiences with Design Systems - Centerl...Centerline Digital
A convergence of design and marketing has become a necessary means for managing a brand and its offering to consumers. It takes a combined effort to continually provide quality output while also delivering responsiveness at scale at a time when channels, screens, and constant interaction demand more from us as teams. By looking at the convergence through a systematic lens you can expose potential in your efforts, both creatively and organizationally. This presentation explores how a design system can benefit you, and where to get started in building your own design system.

Addition Board Game - Mountain Raiders. 11 times more math practicelogicroots
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
Numbers Card Game - Outnumber. 6 times more math practicelogicroots
This document provides a teacher guide for using the Outnumber math game in classrooms. It outlines the steps a teacher should take before, during, and after a game session. Key steps include forming student groups, setting up the game room, teaching game rules to demonstration groups, observing students playing in their groups, and wrapping up each session by announcing winners and providing feedback. The goal is for students to practice math problems and skills through fun game play.

Intelligent Design: Analyzing User Stories Like StocksJon Innes
This document discusses analyzing user stories like stocks by viewing a product backlog as a portfolio and evaluating stories based on their market size, utility, and risks. It suggests focusing on large, growing markets and high-value problems while minimizing user experience and technical risks. The document also emphasizes customer development, prototyping, and measuring stories to determine their value before extensive development. Overall, it promotes applying lean startup and agile principles to choose high-potential stories and continually learn through customer feedback.

The document summarizes Hitachi Solutions' data encryption process for ecommerce. It involves splitting knowledge across two custodians to generate encryption keys, generating a new encryption key every 90 days per PCI requirements, and re-encrypting data with the new key while disabling the web store and manager panel interfaces. The process is self-serviceable via a manager panel and complies with PCI security standards.

Rethinking Kållered │ From Big Box to a Reuse Hub: A Transformation Journey ...SirmaDuztepeliler
"Rethinking Kållered │ From Big Box to a Reuse Hub: A Transformation Journey Toward Sustainability"
The booklet of my master’s thesis at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. (Gothenburg, Sweden)
This thesis explores the transformation of the vacated (2023) IKEA store in Kållered, Sweden, into a "Reuse Hub" addressing various user types. The project aims to create a model for circular and sustainable economic practices that promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and a shift in societal overconsumption patterns.
Reuse, though crucial in the circular economy, is one of the least studied areas. Most materials with reuse potential, especially in the construction sector, are recycled (downcycled), causing a greater loss of resources and energy. My project addresses barriers to reuse, such as difficult access to materials, storage, and logistics issues.
Aims:
• Enhancing Access to Reclaimed Materials: Creating a hub for reclaimed construction materials for both institutional and individual needs.
• Promoting Circular Economy: Showcasing the potential and variety of reusable materials and how they can drive a circular economy.
• Fostering Community Engagement: Developing spaces for social interaction around reuse-focused stores and workshops.
• Raising Awareness: Transforming a former consumerist symbol into a center for circular practices.
Highlights:
• The project emphasizes cross-sector collaboration with producers and wholesalers to repurpose surplus materials before they enter the recycling phase.
• This project can serve as a prototype for reusing many idle commercial buildings in different scales and sizes.
• The findings indicate that transforming large vacant properties can support sustainable practices and present an economically attractive business model with high social returns at the same time.
• It highlights the potential of how sustainable practices in the construction sector can drive societal change.
