The hero of The Tell-Tale Heart is an exemplary illustration of Po.docxrtodd33
The hero of "The Tell-Tale Heart" is an exemplary illustration of Poe's inconsistent storyteller, a man who can't be trusted to tell the target reality of what is happening. His instability turns out to be quickly obvious in the primary passage of the story, when he demands his lucidity of psyche and traits any indications of franticness to his anxiety and oversensitivity, especially in the space of hearing. Nonetheless, when he completes his presentation of mental stability, he offers a record that has a progression of clear coherent holes that must be clarified by craziness. In his compositions, Poe frequently tried to catch the perspective of crazy characters, and the storyteller of this story shows jumps of thinking that more look like the rationale of dreams than they do the points of view of a typical individual.
The storyteller's enthusiastic precariousness gives an unmistakable counterargument to his attestations of decision making ability. In basically no cases does he react in the way that one would anticipate. He is so troubled by the elderly person's vulture-like eye that his detesting beats his adoration for the man, driving him to plan a homicide. Afterward, when he at long last prevails with regards to killing the person in question, he turns out to be emphatically lively, feeling that he has achieved his objective shrewdly and with the soundness that he connects with mental stability. In any case, the clueless conduct of the cops recommends that the storyteller has gotten basically uninformed of his conduct and his environmental factors. Since he can't keep up the distance among the real world and his internal contemplations, he confuses his psychological disturbance with actual unsettling and misconstrues the blameless prattle of the police officers for perniciousness. In any case, he envisions the entire time that he has accurately and reasonably deciphered every one of the occasions of the story, recommending that to Poe, the way to mindlessness is the confidence in one's objectivity.
The incongruity of the storyteller's record in "
The Tell-Tale Heart
" is that despite the fact that he broadcasts himself to be too quiet to be in any way a lunatic, he is crushed by a clamor that might be deciphered as the pulsating of his own heart. In view of the shakiness of the storyteller, it is difficult to know for certain if the beating is a powerful impact, the result of his own creative mind, or a genuine sound. In any case, a reasonable coherent clarification is that when the hero is under pressure, he hears the sound of his heart, "a low, dull, fast strong, for example, a watch wrapped in cotton," and he confuses it with the sound of the elderly person's heart. This absence of understanding equals his absence of consciousness of his activities as he talks with the cops and features the breaches in reason which misrepresent his cases of mental soundness.

Requirements of Happiness
Introduction
In this paper I will explore the concept of innocence, which I define as the absence of guilt through a lack of knowledge or understanding, as it connects to the philosophy of human happiness demonstrated in the movies The Lady Eve (1941) and Toy Story (1995). I will then show how philosopher Stanley Cavell's theory of innocence in Pursuits of Happiness: The Hollywood Comedy of Remarriage can be applied to the happiness of the main characters in both films by incorporating Elizabeth Wolgast’s theory of innocence and its relation to virtue and happiness. In The Lady Eve, Charles’ lack of knowledge of Jean’s card shark ways leads him to fall in love with her. However, once he learns about her crooked background, he breaks things off and it is up to Jean, or should I say Eve, to reclaim his innocence and love. In Toy Story [italics needed], Buzz Lightyear believes in an alternate reality than that of the toy world that surrounds him. Woody, however, tries to break Buzz’s innocence by telling him that he is not a space ranger but rather just an action figure, a child’s plaything. It is up to Buzz to reclaim his happiness despite his broken realm of innocence. Finally, I will suggest what's still missing in these theories and what else is there to find in these movies pertaining to innocence that these theories don't cover.
Theories
Stanley Cavell’s theory of innocence primarily deals with innocence in relation to that of romance, specifically the romance in films. Imagination or experiences of happiness are directly related to the very nature of innocence itself. However, “Comedies of remarriage typically contain not merely philosophical discussions of marriage and of romance, but metaphysical discussions of the concept that underlines both the classical problem of comedy and that of marriage, namely, the problem and the concept of identity–either in the form of what becomes of an individual, or of what has become of two individuals” (Cavell 54). This sense of struggling identity creates turmoil and a sense of doubt between what is believed to be the truth in an innocent state and that of a state of reality. The subject of reclaiming that innocence is the topic of many comedies of remarriage. As more knowledge about the main characters is gained by the audience, the better of an understanding we have of the subject matter as a whole. While innocence is fought for and reclaimed in comedies of remarriage, Elizabeth Wolgast claims that innocence requires a lack of virtue and therefore can’t be reclaimed once knowledge about morality is gained. Innocence can only be had with a “complete absence of error and regret and all the anxieties that go with these–anxieties about avoiding guilt and making amends” (Wolgast 297). While innocence is desirable, some would say that a blissful state of being is an ignorant state of being. Knowledge of the world around us can be gained to create a greater understanding of ...
Q2- How does your product represent particular social groups?Sheree Strickland
The document discusses how the opening sequence of a product represents one main social group - that of a homeless man. The character is depicted picking up a photo that could represent a family he has left behind, picking up on themes of fatherhood and family. However, he is shown living in a public area, suggesting he is homeless or on the run. The character's costume of dirty, torn dark clothing and body language of sadness and depression further suggests he has been homeless for a long time and fits into the social group of homeless people.
