Indiana received high marks for total and per capita new plants, competitiveness, and having one of the lightest tax burdens for new companies. Over the past 10 years, Indiana's business climate ranking has never fallen below 13th and has been as high as 5th, consistently placing it among the best business environments in the nation.

• Site Selection Magazine recently released its annual rankings of the states with the best business
climate. Indiana was named the 10th best business climate in the U.S. for 2015, up from 13th last year.
Over the last 10 years, Indiana has never ranked lower than 13th and has been ranked as high as 5th in
terms of business climate.
• Site Selection compiles its annual rankings by grading each state on several factors including existing
workforce skills, taxes, transportation infrastructure, utilities and land costs to name a few. Indiana
received high marks this year in new plants, both total and per capita (3rd), competitiveness (8th) and
lightest tax burden for new companies (15th).
