Scrooge is a grumpy man who hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by Marley's ghost, who warns him about being visited by three more spirits. The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge his happy past holidays to contrast with his current lonely life. The Ghost of Christmas Present shows him how others, like the Cratchits, celebrate Christmas despite their poverty. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows a gloomy vision of Christmas that leads Scrooge to realize he must change his ways to avoid a sad fate.
