Classified as an antibiotic Kills bacteria causing respiratory infections Others include: ampicillin, amoxicillin, Amoxil, ciprofloxacin Group of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones Used to treat different infections and can slow anthrax after exposure Cipro
Do not Take with dairy products Take with antacids If you have kidney or liver disease Talk to your doctor if You have diabetes You have joint problems You have a history of seizures You are taking other medications Warnings
Classified as a mucolytic Liquefies mucus so it is easier to cough and clear it from the respiratory tract Others include: N-acetyl-cysteine Usually given by inhalation  Can be given in different ways in a hospital setting Used when an overabundance of mucus makes breathing difficult Some mucus may have to be removed with suction Mucomyst
