We had to change the filming location of our project from the Co-op in Baildon to the Co-op in Wrose. The Baildon Co-op would not allow filming due to potential interference with customers, despite sending a letter. We considered other nearby stores to keep the general location consistent with the story. The Wrose Co-op happily agreed to the filming and provided available days and times.

The bin window displays all captured footage so shots can be reviewed and the best ones chosen for the edit.

Our first filming session
Our first filming session took place at a Co-op grocery store in Wrose, Yorkshire, England. The film crew shot two scenes in the store, capturing the main character selecting items in the drinks aisle and freezer section. They set up their camera and tripod discreetly to avoid interfering with customers and including them without consent in shots. The first shot followed the character from a long shot to medium and over-the-shoulder as she selected a bottle of wine. The second scene showed her walking between aisles to depict the passage of time before interacting with an employee at the freezer.
Film similar to ours
A blind man goes on several dates to find his ideal partner but struggles due to his inability to see. However, they found this idea too complicated. They then considered titles like "Her Decision" and "The Choice" which inspired relationship dilemma ideas, but these were also passed over. Their final idea was a woman going on a series of "blind dates" with unsuitable men until she meets a potential match while grocery shopping. The group planned to have the dates as flashbacks and the last date as her ideal match.
Abraham Maslow
Maslow's hierarchy of needs proposes that human motivations are arranged in a pyramid with the most basic needs at the bottom and psychological needs at the top. The lowest level includes physiological needs like food, water, shelter and sex. The next level is safety needs including security and health. Belongingness and love needs, such as friendship and intimacy, come next. Esteem needs involve respect and self-respect. The top level is self-actualization where one reaches their full potential. Verisimilitude refers to creating a realistic representation or depiction of reality in movies or other fictional works through realistic plots, images, or details. Diegesis describes an artificial, fictional world that is internally consistent and experienced by characters through narrative situations and events, rather than being directly shown to an audience. Editing process

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this...
I have learned several skills from creating a media product using various technologies:
1) Using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate photos by applying lighting effects and cropping. This allowed me to create the desired style for my magazine.
2) Navigating the settings on my digital camera to take photos with specific lighting needed for my magazine, such as flash or daylight settings.
3) Creating PowerPoints and adding colored backgrounds and formatting text. I uploaded the PowerPoints to Slideshare and embedded them in my blog.
4) Researching using Internet Explorer and Bing to find information and images to include in my PowerPoints and blog posts. My blog organized my work and showed my progress.

Changing locations (co op)
- 1. Changing Locations We had changed location from the Co-op in Baildon to the Co-op in Wrose. We had to ring the Baildon Co-op and ask for permission due to them not getting back to our letter that we sent, they wouldn’t allow us to film in their premises as it may interfere with customers. We then had a think of other Co-ops and stores around the area as we didn’t want to change the location completely as it may have interfered with the rest of the story. When we rang the Wrose Co-op they were more than happy to go and film in their premises and gave us days and times to go and film there.
