2. Step 1: Experience and Discover
 Youth unemployment is the situation where by large proportion of young
people in the World who are able, qualified and willing to work are remain
unemployed.
 In Tanzania, youth unemployment has now regarded as the bomb that waits to
explode due to lack of urgent solution to solve the problem.
 This problem is much larger Dar es salaam city in which most of industries are
located, where by large number of young people from all over the country
infiltrate everyday.
 These young people includes men and women of different ages and education
backgrounds, but according to the law of Tanzania people under the age of 18
years are not regarded as unemployed because they prohibited by the law to
engage themselves in any sort of employment.
 My peers are also affected by youth employment and most of them are leaving
the country to Botswana and South Africa looking for the job.

YOUNG
YOUTH GENERATION
 Youth unemployment is caused by the points which are shown UNEMPLOYMENT
below the major problem and their outcomes are shown by the
points above the major problem of problem tree analysis.
 Government policies can cause youth unemployment if then do
not create environment that is conducive for employment;
example poor education policy and curricula that can not lead to
self employment.
 Also some policies discourage young people to acquire loans from
financial institutions due to lack of collateral.
 Large population of developing nations engage themselves in
agricultural activities and most of them depends on rainfall rather
than irrigation farming, when rain is scarce most of them remain
unemployed.
 Outcome of youth employment includes poverty, prostitution
business, increase in illegal business the use of drugs and others.
 Young people will engage themselves in all these activities just
because they are unemployed otherwise they could not.
 Prostitution business and the use of drugs leads to increase in
transmission of HIV/AIDS which is another disaster.

5. Solution to Youth Unemployment
The followings are the solutions which I suggest to solve the
problem. This problem can not be solved by single
institution or single solution and it requires number of
methods. These methods will give the results within six
months and more than 1000,000 young can be reached. The
next slide shows the methods to be used.

7. Agricultural sector
Prioritization of In country like Tanzania where there is

people should be encouraged to engage
themselves in the sector by giving them
incentives.

8. Education curricula
Reviewing education Education curricula should enable young

They must involve practical knowledge that
will be used directly by graduates.

9. Micro-credit scheme
Provision of Small loans should be provided in order to

can be used as empower young people with capital for
