Celebration Slovenia is a tourist package that would give the
traveler a complete ‘feel’ of Slovenia
8 day package with 2 days spent in each place

1st stop – Bled: Experience history of Slovenia while absorbing
the natural beauty of Bled

2nd stop – Solčava: Experience the rural life of Slovenia and
also learn sheep rearing

3rd stop – Maribor: Enjoy making and drinking wine while
learning traditional dances and cooking

4th stop – Ptuj: Let the shopaholic free in the beautiful city,
have fun being a Kurent and cap the trip with a musical night
on the river
Bled
1. Start off with a swim in the lake
   - swimming in Bled lake is therapeutic
2. A boat ride would also be very enjoyable
    - Savor the beautiful vista
3. In the afternoon, a visit to Iglica Falls
4. Followed by visit to Bled Castle
5. An evening on Bled Island
6. Campfire with all the travelers, exchange
      of stories and singing
     - Legend of the Sunken Bell and Battle of
     Marchfeld
7. Discussion of script and roles for next day’s
     re-enactment

8. Next morning begins with hike in the mountains
9. Afternoon is spent in preparing for the re-
enactment
10. The re-enactment of the Legend of Sunken
Bell and Battle of Marchfeld takes place to
audience of fellow travelers and locals
11. A farewell campfire at the lake
12. A bell is rung and then the travelers immerse a
clay bell tied with a wish written on paper into the
Bled Lake in accordance to the legend
13. Camp disperses into the night
Solčava
1. Stay at a rural house
2. Learn to tend sheep
    - If season permits then learn
      shearing of wool also
3. Learn to cook various traditional dishes
4. Next day the traveler learns to make wool into a
    yarn based on season
5. The traveler learns to milk the goats/ cows
and use this milk to make cheese
6. Take the animals for grazing
7. At night the exhausted traveler will call it a night
    to the sound of local music
Maribor
1. A traveler will stay at a vineyard at Maribor
2. Relax in morning with a guided tour of
   vineyard and the process of wine making
3. Participate in wine making
4. Visit the oldest grape vine
5. Learn traditional Slovenian dance in the
   evening
6. Top the day off with exquisite wine
Maribor…
7. Start the next day off helping in the vineyard
8. Baking cakes like potico or gibanica would
    also be good
9. Next would be visit to Maribor Castle and
    Town Hall
10. Also visit Betnava Castle
11. Enjoy Slovene and Serbian cuisine of
    mushroom soup, apple strudel etc.
12. End the day at Vinag Wine Celler with an
    evening of wine tasting.

Ptuj
1. Last destination is Ptuj where a traveler will
   get lots of opportunity to shop
2. Special zones will be created where the
   shopper can buy local handicrafts, clothes
   and a variety of gifts for folks back home
3. A boat ride (similar to a gondola) along the
   scenic banks of River Drava would be an
   enchanting experience
4. A visit to Town Hall, Town tower and Orpheus
   Monument would be a good experience

5. The next day the sightseeing begins with
    going to the Ptuj Museum.
6. At Ptuj Grad, a guided tour will expose the
    tourist to various medieval customs and
    traditions prevalent in that region
