• Description: The body consists of a single segment and
  is designated as monozoic, while in others strobilus
  (the body) is a chain of segments called proglottids.
  Referred to as polyzoic forms. No presence of a
  digestive tract (Olsen, 1986). Can reach lengths of over
  a meter.

• Lifecycle: Depends on species and, in most
  cases, unknown (Smyth & Smyth, 1980).

• Pathology: Usually does no damage to its host.
