In this service, we will celebrate a child dedication. Then we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together, and finally believers baptism by immersion. Each section will include a brief devotional focusing on the scriptures that inform and inspire these practices of the Christian faith.
4. Psalm 127:3-5
Behold, children are a heritage from
the Lord, the fruit of the womb a
reward. Like arrows in the hands of a
warrior are the children of one’s
youth. Blessed is the man who filled
his quiver with them!
8. Church Family Vows
Do you, the body of Christ
assembled at Geneseo E-Free
promise to receive Logan Lee
Arnold in love, pray for her, and
encourage and sustain her in the
fellowship of believers?
WE DO, GOD HELPING US
10. The Bread You shall eat no leavened
bread with it. Seven days you
shall eat it with unleavened
bread, the bread of affliction—
for you came out of the land of
Egypt in haste—that all the
days of your life you may
remember the day when you
came out of the land of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 16:3
11. And he took bread,
and when he had
given thanks, he
broke it and gave it to
them, saying, “This is
my body, which is
given for you. Do this
in remembrance of
me.
Luke 22:19
The Bread
12. For the life of the
flesh is in the
blood, and I have
given it for you on
the altar to make
atonement for your
souls, for it is the
blood that makes
atonement by the
life.
Leviticus 17:11
The Cup
13. Indeed, under the law
almost everything is
purified with blood, and
without the shedding of
blood there is no
forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 9:22
The Cup
14. And likewise, the
cup after they had
eaten, saying, “This
cup that is poured
out for you is the
new covenant
in my blood.”
Luke 22:20
The Cup

16. His body shall not remain all night
on the tree, but you shall bury
him the same day, for a hanged
man is cursed by God. You shall
not defile your land that the
LORD your God is giving you for
an inheritance.
The Tree
Deuteronomy 21:23
17. Christ redeemed us from
the curse of the law by
becoming a curse for
us—for it is written,
“Cursed is everyone who
is hanged on a tree”
The Tree
Galatians 3:13
19. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
12For just as the body is one and has many
members, and all the members of the
body, though many, are one body, so it is
with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks,
slaves or free—and all were made to drink
of one Spirit.
21. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
12For just as the body is one and has many
members, and all the members of the
body, though many, are one body, so it is
with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks,
slaves or free—and all were made to drink
of one Spirit.
22. Matthew 3:11
I baptize you with water for
repentance, but he [Jesus] who is
coming after me is mightier than I,
whose sandals I am not worthy to
carry. He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and fire.
23. Acts 1:5
For John baptized with water, but
you will be baptized with the
Holy Spirit not many days from
now.
24. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized
into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves
or free—and all were made to drink of
one Spirit.
