2. September13 On September 13, 1847 during the Battle of Chapultepec , six Mexican teenage cadets died defending Mexico at Mexico’s City Chapultepec Castle. The were named the Niños Heroes.
3. September 16 In September 16, 1810 Mexicans celebrate the Independence Day, similar to the Fourth of July in the U.S. There are parades, fireworks, and grand feasts. We celebrate the Grito de Dolores which is when Hidalgo shouted "Viva México" and "Viva la independencia!“.
4. November20 On November 20, 1910 we celebrate the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. This date is when the war to overthrow the dictator Porfirio Diaz, began.
