This webinar is geared for colleges and universities that will complete in the 2013 Campus Conservation Nationals. We will highlight the next steps for campuses to prepare for the spring competition and feature best practices in building your team, promoting your efforts, and encouraging participation on your campus. National Wildlife Federation, Lucid Design, U.S. Green Buildings Council and the Alliance to Save Energy are partnering on Campus Conservation Nationals (CCN) -- the first national electricity and water consumption competition for colleges and universities. CCN is an opportunity to engage many students on campus and get people thinking about actions they can take to reduce their carbon footprint. Where: Webinar, audio options by phone or VOIP. Instructions and agenda will be sent via email prior to the webinar. When: Wednesday, November 7 at 2:00-3:00pm (Eastern) Contact Campus Ecology by email campus@nwf.org with questions. The group was given route cards and maps to plan their path for an expedition, which involved map reading skills as they passed through farms and fields with farm animals. On one route, the group spooked some cows that began following half the group, setting them back by half an hour and causing trauma. They had pasta for dinner that evening and saw some lovely scenery, celebrating a birthday along the way.
