Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Maritime Silk Road were put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping during his overseas
visits in September and October of 2013.
The "Belt and Road Initiative" was put forward by Chinese President Xi with the purpose of
rejuvenating the two ancient trading routes and further opening markets in a mutually
beneficial manner. The Silk Road Economic Belt is slated to be established along the ancient
Silk Road trade route -- which stretched northwest from China's coastal area through Central
Asia, the Middle East and on to Europe -- while the maritime Silk Road will run through the
country's southern part to Southeast Asia. The Silk Road Economic Belt focuses on bringing
together China, Central Asia, Russia and Europe (the Baltic); linking China with the Persian
Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea through Central Asia and West Asia; and connecting China
with Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Indian Ocean.

Proposal about Establishing An Asia Infrastructure Investment and Financing Institution Led by CCIEE
China Center for International Economic Exchanges
It is proposed in the Report of the Eighteenth National Congress that connectivity with neighboring countries
should be promoted. As what president Xi Jinpin has pointed out in the 2013 Annual Meeting of Boao Forum for
Asia, China will facilitate the connectivity work with neighboring countries, take a proactive stance to build a regional
financing platform, promote intra-regional economic integration and increase regional competitiveness. With respect
to this issue, CCIEE organized a seminar and invited relevant units and experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
National Development and Reform Commission, China Banking Regulatory Commission, State Administration of
Foreign Exchange, National Council for Social Security Fund, China Development Bank and China Investment
Corporation, and reached a consensus.
47. Major Research Results of CCIEE — Successful Cases
We believe that infrastructure construction and connectivity serve as the new growth points of
Asian economy, as well as the significant ground of Asian economic integration. To facilitate the
construction of a regional investment and financing institution and promote the cooperation with
Asian countries in this aspect are conducive to the increase of China's influence among neighboring
countries and place China in an active position in the integration process of Asian economy and the
regional economic system with China as its core. Under the current international and domestic
situation, establishing such an institution is both significant and feasible, with conditions all ready
and should be given more impetus.

China Center for International Economic Exchanges
April, 2015
"The Silk Road Economic Belt" and "the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road"(herein after referred to as "Belt and
Road" Initiative) is a significant proposal demonstrating Chinese people's willingness to conform to the shared
aspirations of people from all over the world. This initiative strives to build a cooperation channel between China
and southeast Asia, south Asia, central Asia and west Asia, promote comprehensive, in-depth and long-lasting
exchanges and cooperation in economic, technological and cultural areas etc., propel stronger, more efficient and
friendlier regional integration process and achieve common prosperity.

49. The "Belt and Road Initiative" is a path of mutual respect and trust, a path of cooperation and win-win
solution, a path of mutual learning of different civilizations, as well as a path of peace and friendship. 2100 years
ago, the Silk Road promoted civilization exchanges on a equal basis between the east and the west, and brought
about mutual benefits and deeper cooperation. 600 years ago, the fleet led by Zheng He has made their voyages to
the Pacific and west Indian Ocean 7 times, sowing the seeds of peace and friendship. Despite hundreds of thousands
years of vicissitudes, the ancient Silk Road has never ceased its mission to spread civilization and promote
exchanges and cooperation. At present, the co-construction of "Belt and Road" by many countries is the very theme
in the new era that seeks historical lines and uphold cooperation and win-win solution; it is the new choice to build
a community of benefits that is trust-worthy politically, integrated economically and inclusive culturally; it is new
path to promote south-south cooperation and bridge the gap between the north and the south...

The Central Leadership's Great Emphasis on CCIEE
90. Since its establishment 5 years ago, CCIEE has been dedicated to the research on strategy, decision and policy-making
for the development of our country. It has made positive contributions in providing political suggestions and intellectual
support to governments of all levels and enterprises. To further build up the think tank is a pivotal part of improving the
ability of decision-making, administration and the soft power of our country. We hope that CCIEE will persist and follow
the world trend with a clear mind of the periodical characteristics. It should strengthen the prospective study with a
creative mind, drive the rapid growth of economy to a medium-and-high level, and further release the dividends of reform
and opening up, thereby ensuring national security and realizing Chinese nation’s great rejuvenation. With more
influential and valuable thinking, a new and high-level think tank with Chinese characteristics will become a diversified
stage for international exchanges and cooperation.
The Central Leadership's Great Emphasis on CCIEE
——90——
91. Vice Premier Wang Yang’s Instructions on the Change of CCIEE’s Second Board of Directors in Oct. 2014
The Central Leadership's Great Emphasis on CCIEE
92. On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of CCIEE, I wish to extend warm congratulations and pay high tribute to all
the senior leaders, old friends, cadres and workers.
During the past five years, under the leadership of Chairman Zeng Peiyan, CCIEE has been dedicated to providing
services to China's top decision makers and satisfying the demands of China's economic development. It has made great
contributions to the research on major strategic issues and the construction of a new type of think tank with Chinese
characteristics. In the meantime, CCIEE has promoted international economic exchanges and cooperation in diversified
forms. When it comes to major international trade issues, it has made "the voice of China" heard in a timely manner,
launched many "Chinese initiatives", and put forward a host of "Chinese proposals", thus exerting positive influence on
the international community. Furthermore, it has played a vital role in creating a favorable international environment
and promoting the development of China's open economy.
The Central Leadership's Great Emphasis on CCIEE
——92——
93. With the deepening of economic globalization and China's reform and opening up, China's economy has
become increasingly integrated and interconnected with the world economy. Global vision, global perspective
and strategic thinking are badly needed in the research on China’s major issues on reform, development and
opening up. In terms of this, CCIEE boasts unique advantages. I sincerely wish that you could carry forward
your fine traditions and explore the building of a new world-class think tank with innovation and creativity,
thereby making greater contributions to promoting reform and opening up as well as the modernization
drive of China.
The Central Leadership's Great Emphasis on CCIEE
——93——
94. As we look into the future, CCIEE has an arduous task to promote the establishment
of new type of Think Tank with Chinese Characteristics as required by the CPC Central
Committee and the State Council. It will continue to provide services to China's top
decision makers so as to make China boast stronger influence and greater say, thereby
making Chinese voice heard on the international stage and putting forward better Chinese
proposals.
