Public Limited Company and started operations on April 1,
1992
• The Current CEO of AKBL is Mr. Atif Riaz Bokhari

20. LIMITATION RULES
The financing shall not be allowed for;
• Commercial Properties.
• Construction or possession of land on the encroached
area of Public/ Government Land.
• Properties built against Housing Authority By-Laws
PROCESSING BY THE BANK
• The processing time of Mortgage Finance is 30 days from login till approval subject
to complete application with required documents
• Charges are applied According to the bank’s SOC
22. GUARANTEE/SECURITY FOR THE MORTGAGE
• Askari Bank requires the mortgaged property itself as security for the loan.
• This means the bank has a legal claim on the property until the loan is fully repaid.
• In case of default, the bank can initiate foreclosure proceedings to recover the
outstanding amount by selling the property
23. Clearance (Maturity):
• Upon successful completion of your loan installments, the bank will issue a
clearance certificate. This document verifies that the loan has been fully
repaid and the property title is free from the bank's claim.
Default:
Overdue payments
• In case of missed installments, the bank will likely contact you to regularize
the payments. Late payment penalties (PKR. 1500) will be applied.
Continued defaults
• If the defaults persist, the bank may take stricter actions like restricting
account activity or initiating legal proceedings.
Foreclosure
• As a last resort, the bank may pursue foreclosure to recover the remaining
loan amount by selling the mortgaged property through an auction
