Jean Bousquet founded the fashion house Cacharel in 1958 in Paris. He launched the brand with women's pants before gaining success in 1963 with the now iconic pink crepe shirt photographed for Elle magazine. Over the decades, Cacharel grew to design full collections and launch successful fragrances while maintaining a romantic aesthetic defined through the photography of Sarah Moon and Robert Delpire. After facing challenges in the 2000s, Cacharel was revitalized through new designers and a partnership with the Italian group AEFFE, reconnecting with its heritage of femininity and fresh romanticism. Today Cacharel remains an iconic brand known for defining the silhouette of an assured woman who enjoys fashion without being dictated by trends.
